ok im sorry but ive heard this one to many times and i have to say something about it.. Im getting tired of hearing everyone say that 360 automatically has better multiplatform games automatically.. Judging by scores on GS the 360 has a total of about 4 games out of over 200 games that scored better on 360 than PS3 and now all of a sudden, everyone here says "I buy multiplats on 360 because they are ALWAYS better and superior on 360" lol Really?, i mean serously.

4 or 5 games out of about 200 games being better on the xbox 360 hardly justifies the notion that the 360 automatically will always have better multiplatform titles. So lets stop with this non sense argument i hear on here day after day that the 360 automatically will always have superior multiplats than PS3.

Yes currently you have more multiplat games that have scored higher on 360 than PS3 but keep in mind that out of all the 200 plus games out so far this gen, only 4 or 5 of those scored better on the 360.

I mean off the top of my head the only games i can think of that scored higher on 360 are; The Orange Box, Lost Planet, bayonetta and a couple other ones i cant think of but thats beside the point, the point is you cant sit there and say just because 360 has 4 or so games out of 200 that happened to score higher on 360, that it makes the 360 automatically better in all cases for multiplat titles.

I believe that people say "360 will always have the better multiplats" not due to the VERY rare score difference, but simply because of the larger community that XBL has...

It is a fact that multiplatform games almost always run and look better on the xbox360. Its because of the tech, nothing more , nothing less.

There's more to a review than a score. In fact, many GS reviews tell you the differences between the versions in the Good and Bad sections and possibly at the end of the review.

Most multiplats are better on the 360, it's just that usually the differences are so small that it doesn't make the PS3 version inferior enough to be given a different score. However, there is the occasional game that is inferior enough to be given a different score, such as Bayonetta and The Orange Box.

just because gamespot gives 2 games the same score does not mean they are exact same in terms of quality, it just means there differences arent huge neough to justify deducting from there score.

Its almost second nature for me get a multiplat game on my 360 over my ps3. Alot has to do with multiplats just looking better on 360 but also another factor for me is the controller. When it comes to shooters either first person or 3rd person the 360 controller just feels more natural for me.

TC, when some of those guys are chatting about superiority in Multiplatform games, a large majority of those you are recalling here in SW, well, that just a hardcore, radical fanboy faction of "the pixel counting community"TM by me, lol.. :P

You don't have to worry about them! Those guys are just having a bit of fun. It's about the smallest differences for ownage, which is odd, since they should check out the PC, which they don't.

These same hardcore pixel counters can't tell the difference between upscaled DVD/DD and Blu-Ray movie's!

This issue is brought up here in SW, mostly for lulz and ownage, not because gamers are getting bad games. Just know that it's just about tiny, tiny differences that ultimately mean nothing. Pay attention to the games that actually are affected like Orange Box (360), Dragon Age (PS3) and Bayonetta (360), and and a handful of others, and you are all set. :)

And to add, this link of which are better and the same as well.

As for scores, Oblivion is better on PS3 in graphics and even content and scored less than the 360 version, does that make the 360 version better?

Oblivion - 360:9.6 Ps3:9.5 *regardless of claims the 360 version was superior the patched released day and date with the ps3 release increased view distance, and lowered load times to lower then ps3 levels, and if you install the game? lol forget about it, it loads even faster then the ps3 version installed and it has a forced background install any ways.

The Orange Box - 360:9.5 Ps3:9.0

Rainbow Six Vega - 360:9.1 Ps3:9.0

Fallout 3 - 360:9.0 Ps3:8.5

Bayonetta - 360:9.0 Ps3:8.0

GRAW2 - 360:8.7 Ps3:8.5

F.E.A.R - 360:8.6 Ps3:7.1

Splinter Cell Double Agent - 360:8.5 Ps3:8.0

VF5 - 360:8.5 Ps3:8.1

BorderLands - 360:8.5 Ps3:8.0

With the differences not being major enough to warrant a huge change in score is the reason why. I am sure if you read every review for every game they say that it runs better on one system then it does on the other, but that does not make it a 9.0 and the other a 8.5. That is another reason why scores are the same is that the rating system no only goes by increments of .5 and not .1 or else I am sure there would small differences in scores to make up for which looks better and whatnot

yeah its up there now.

I've grown bored but need i say more? its far more then the 4 games your saying kenny, LOTs more but i dont have to time to go through the entire list of multiplats, so suffice to say there are quite a few multiplats superior on the 360.

edit: clearification on oblivion ps3 is what has the forced install in the background, the update for the 360 version puts it at faster loading then the ps3 version with its forced install in my expereince and if you install the 360 version it puts the ps3 version to shame, the ps3 version shipped with and still has after its updates bugs the 360 version never had and the 360 version is patched higher then the ps3 version up with the pc version and has less bugs as a whole.

as well it got all the content as the pc did where as the ps3 got i believe 3 packs and thats it. As well any one that says but but but but but thoses others weren't good ignoreing the whole horse armor the wizards keep, and spell tomes and others really add to the gameplay in my opinion specially if your like me someone who plays the game very slowly ignoreing and or bypassing enemies and playing it at the highest difficulty levels.

So a game has to score better in order for the better graphics to count?

Scores aside, I buy my multiplatforms on the 360 mainly because of two things: 1. The online community is guaranteed to be larger on the 360 than the PS3. 2. I am an achievements man to the bone and if a game is identical on both platforms, I might as well boost my gamerscore while I am at it :P

Oh P.S. I think you might want to change your sig, it's a little outdated ;)

a button mashing hack and slash with sex minigames? cause thats pretty much what i got with god of war 1 and 2 though the vistas were great in both games which is why ill pick up gow 3 cause of the vast scenes and mythological locations.

lol what?! There is NO forced install on the PS3 version of Oblivion, actually there isn't even an option to install the gameon the HDD! And it DOES load faster than the 360 version.

read the reviews in full, the review will say something like... "both version are/practically identical" or "console x is better for ". the only time you fanboys tell a difference is when you look at the scores. if you actually read the reviews you will see that at least 1/2 will say it looks and or runs better on 360(even a little)

go check your save file for oblivion on the ps3...what size is it? 4.4 gigs?

Oblivion ps3 uses a forced background install, it installs in a long intial load time and then continues after as you begin to play...like i said go check your save area for oblivion on the ps3...its taking up 4.4 gigs

do a search on google ps3 oblivion install....

Doesn't matter to me because the PS3 controller makes multiplats better for me (my opinion), that and the platinum trophy. But it's true a lot of the multiplats run better on 360 (orange box, bayonetta, Mx Vs. ATV Reflex) , but that's because of the strange architecture of the PS3's cell processor, but games with devs that really know what they're doing with both consoles come out the same, and occasionally better on PS3. (GTA IV, Darksiders, Dragon Age: Origins)

GTA 4 is not better on the ps3, the ps3 version has worse load times, worse draw distance, lower reslution and no AA.

Didn't say it was better, said they came out the same and on rare occasions some come out better, being why dragon age is also on the list. Oh and all reviews said their was hardly any difference between the two. But the PS3 version has quicker load times not worse, and looked slightly better (meaning hardly noticeable)

Here's a link of the GTA IV comparison by IGN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqDVLa2bnLQ

This, the difference is just to small, you will experience the same game, thats why the score is the same.
