Yea, cause the PS2 has been seeing so much support for past few years, what with the steady diet of sports games and from time to time a bone or two will be tossed its way. Truly you can't honestly think that PS2 is still going strong and leading the way? Sony is keeping the PS2 alive out of sheer spite and to be honest they would probably benefit from killing it off by this point because that could turn people towards the PS3.

And yes you are right though, Sony will be supporting the PS3 long after Nintendo and Microsoft have both moved on, but that's only because they've invested so much money and lost even more on it that they will have no other choice but to continue to support that platform until they begin to see some profit.

Maybe Sony will wise up, end the PS2 finally, and make the PS3's BC again with PS2 games.

Also I don't see how a console couldn't recover from a rival company having a good year, its not like because Sony has a fairly decent 2009 and 2010 line up that all developers will abandon the 360 and flock to the PS3. If anything that will only push Microsoft to make bigger and better games for their console.

Strong year for PS3 if we can see some NA ports of Demon Soul, WKC, and mmmmmmaaayybe Yazuka 3(fingers crossed!) by the end of the year.

I love how you think that just because PS3 has good exclusives for a year it will triumph over the 360, just because PS3 has one good year that doesnt mean 360 will fail, it just means that PS3's sales may fail LESS.

Recover from what exactly , these great exclusives don't seem to have any impact on NPD's so what exactly is 360 recovering from? cuz last I checked ps3 is still last in everything.

yeah it doesnt really matter to me. i dont give a **** about the ps3.im content with the 360 and there are atleast half of AAA-AA games that i havent played on it yet. Announcement of halo reach would get me hyped thouhg

The second wasn't considered a price drop it was considered a new model that was cheaper because it removed BC so either way they dropped the PRICE TWICE IN THE FIRST YEAR TO EVEN compete.

So what? Price is still a factor over why a console is bad no matter what it is. The same thing happened to the 3D0 and no matter how much more advanced it was, it died. Why? PRICE.

I'm sure many people (me included) would love a Ps3, but the price is way to expensive. Heck, even the Xbox is little too high for me and that's half the price. Were in tough times and high price will equal to failure becasue money's tigh in the world.

FF13 won't even be out by 2009. Late 2010 at the earliest for NA. FF13V can only come out after that, so 2011.
