Lies! That game has Jansen in it. The annoying, but in a likeable way, guy. Plus, Kelolon Village is kinda fun.

yes that is what I was expecting, and now I cry inside thanks to that game. ;(

I haven't found it depressing, though there are sad moments. There's a lot more going on than just death and sadness around Kaim. His life alone isn't so much to depress people but to tell a story through the life of an immortal so the player might have a few epiphanies about his/her own. I find that there are more bittersweet moments than anything to be honest. LO is a terrific and underrated game. If the game were so depressing I don't think I would have forced myself through 45 hours of gameplay, I enjoyed the perspective from which the story was told.

And the main character, jesus.

I mean, I have yet to get my hands on that game, but after watching a single video, this guy is probably more 'emo' than all FF characters combined.

Metal Gear Solid 3 was pretty depressing, I thought.

Xire_XII

It was really just the ending. It almost made me cry. If they had played that really sad naruto music at the ending, I would have cried.

Heavy Rain looks pretty damn good and emotion provoking. While Depressing im not sure it surely looks like a game thatll get you heart (and maybe your tears) going.

I always thought Quake 1 was a depressing game, for an FPS without much story. The whole atmosphere and setting is just depressing I think.

Also, some of the Resident Evil games can get depressing after a while, REmake for one (Lisa Trevor anyone?).

Also I was surprised at Super Mario Galaxy's unexpectedly unhappy ending .

Having just finished the 3 hour mode, i can honestly say Dead Rising takes that title.

Poor Frank, nothing goes right for the guy...

Play socom 2 online for 2 years straight, 10 hours aday, then come on one day and find that the game is full of hackers and cheaters and that your name was hacked and all of your friends are erased.

Now thats depressing, especially when your not ready to give up the game.

Ouch dude. I've been playing SOCOM 2 online again to gear up for SOCOM Confrontation. It might be the only game to pull me away from COD4, lol.

Honestly. Since SOCOM II came out till SOCOM 3, I didn't buy a single PS2 game at that time and just played SOCOM II all day. Amazing game. AAAA for me.

lol That is awesome dude. SOCOM is such an overlooked franchise I think. It's awesome man, and it was kinda the PS2's "Halo" as far as online goes. I remember I was talking to some guy on Xbox Live playing Gears, and we were talking and he said "Did you own an original Xbox?" and I said, "Nah, I only had a PS2" and he said, "Ah, so you were a SOCOM guy, right?" lol.

And i know silent hill 2 is easily more depressing than lost odyssey...both great games btw. Silent Hill 2 is just....sad though...
