here is something 360/ps3 owners would all agree on, and that is the ps3 is such an amazing quality console, to the wifi to the touch senstive buttons, the quite disc drive infact overall it's very quite and well built, which makes the 360 look like a piece of badly put togeather **** the disc tray is crap and the overall noise is terrible, it seems like such a badly built console and it shows with the RROD the sounds that comes out of it are just weird.gerard-williams

I will agree that PS3 is better in some things, DEFINATLY one beeing the sound it makes, comparing to the turbine running in my 360, that can wake neighbours two houses next to us, PS3 is like a sleeping baby, i really love that aspect of my PS3

But Drake is the first real game i will get for it, every other one was just mediocre for me until now TBH, even the hyped R&C, or HS, so as a gamer i will go for 360, i wish it was more quite !!!!

The 360 has a very unique look to it, and the design is definately professional. I love the design concepts of the PS3, but don't nessecerily like the design lines. It should have retained more of that unique PS2 flavor IMO. The touch sensitive buttons are great, and the glossy look is fantastic. The problem is that it needs the gloss. It shouldn't need the gloss, and the font was a bad choice and you know it.

The PS3 has futuristic written all over it, and that font works against it. The other design flaw is within the PS3 controller. The Six Axis hasn't benefitted in a single way. When compared the Wii-mote a year later, we see that Six Axis was a pure gimmick and poorly thought out. The PS3 controller is also difficult to use for FPS's. I wouldn't normally dock points for this, but Sony feels pressure to have a killer app FPS, so it's justified. However, the KB&M support will help UT greatly. Although I'm personally against KB&M myself.

The PS3 also has to be tethered to the console in order to charge the controller. Years later when those lithium batteries die, or get phased out, the 360 will be able to useregular AA batteries. This isn't a problem for the casuals, because they just trade all there old stuff back, but the hardcore may want to pull the 360or the PS3 outin 10 years.

You also have toparcially install the software in order to maximize loading times for PS3 games, which is another flaw.

The 360 has it all and there's no denying it.The 360 was built as a pure plug and play gaming machine, a powerfull one at that! The software has proven this point time and again. The controllerdesign works for every game except fighters. Let's face it, the onlyreal flaw the entire 360 system has is that D-pad.

You can easily charge multiplebatterie packs, switch face plates, customize the dashboard, and then get on with gaming at it's best. The 360 doesn'tbother you with stuff you don't need or want, but it's all there. Windows Media functionality, photo viewer, video playback, customizable soundtracks, which feature easy plug and play from Mp3 players. You can play your music in any game at any time! And all the while you can be chatting with someone playing Halo 3, when your running around Liberty City.

If you want High def movies then youcan rent them from marketplace, or just buy the HD-DVD player.I like that the 360 is a pure game machine, that featuresthe best of the best games anywhere, period!

lol to the tc, the 360 is more solid that the ps3, if you drop both the ps3 would break but not 360, only prob with 360 is overheating. but I rather have that the no games.

My Dream Console:

It has the reliability of the PS3, the price of the 360, and the 360's games.

Oh and online like xbox live but free like PSN (although I don't mind paying $50 a year).

the ps3 was very well put toghether no denying it but it just wont do with the games out now hell the hardware is killer but the software leaves enough to be desired and if you dont like the ps3's XMB go ahead install Linux ya lazy bums

the RROD is a fault of the Heat given off the DVD drive that eventually melts a plastic component wich in turns lowers the 360 ability to push out heat from the system so its a construction flaw but guess what no one is safe not even the new ones because the elite and the newer 65nm 360's will have the same construction wich in turn will still give RRoD this is just a warning to those people who have a 360 right now and hasent given them trouble it will eventually no matter what you do to it that intec cooler that supposdly stops it from overheating cannot save it

The ps3's Innards well lets just say a different story i have had my ps3 close to one year the 60 gig model i replaced the hard drive to a 120 gig easy even tho i had to replace a screw (i stripped it by accident) the inside of a ps3 does produce more heat than a 360 (Yes it does) But it displaces it in a better way

ill show pics of it (Not my ps3)

that is my 2 cents anyone wanna bash go ahead prove me wrong im only human

@wdave No doubt Sony builds a quality unit. You can tell who has the better engineers just by looking at the two. No AC adapter, quiet, touch-sensitive buttons, direct feed Blu-ray drive, etc.. All little things, but it's those little things that show how Sony engineers really spent the extra time necessary to build a quality piece of equipment.
