On the 360 if i'm watching a film and i want to do something else, i can just turn the 360 off, when i turn it back on , it goes back to the point i was watching at

The ps3 does the same thing. I can wach a bluray movie and take it out and play call of duty 4 and then later on slip that same movie in and it will play from the same spot I ejected it out on. Pretty cool huh. :)

IIRC with the latest update it also resumes where you left off even if you take the disc out.

Other pluses with movie playback is, first off, it plays blu-ray movies, obviously. Secondly it upscales DVD's, and they look quite excellent I must say. And thirdly, no stupid 360 jet fans.
Let's see what the PS3 movie player is able to do.
It has Blu-Ray 2.0 firmware now that allows us to pause Blu-Ray's or DVD's and resume after we remove the disc and turn the console off. We can get extra content of Blu-Ray movies that support Blu-Ray LIVE. We can watch true 1080p once it get's popular although we have been able to get true 720p for a long time. We are still getting HD movies on a hardcopy (enjoy replaying the same HD DVD movies over and over because there will be no more new releases). We are able to get true surround sound that supports all the way up to 7.1 and this seems to be getting better with firmware updates. Now how many SKU releases did M$ have with the 360 before it even had HDMI and a standard HDD. Where Sony had this from day one.

isn't this a thread to see which can play movies better? This thread fails...horribly. I would have to admit that xbox has better games but trying to go against the ps3 on movies lol. Give it up man. PS3 has a high quality format which won the format war.

My 10 year old DVD player does the same thing. Next you are giong to say the X360 is better because it's in color.
