I can only get one which should I get? And btw people I hear always say PS Vita has no games but I am happy with amount of games it has Gravity Rush, P4golden etc. Is attractive although all in all the lineup isnt as good as 3DS's but I'm not buying the whole section from the gamestore.

please give reasons :)

Vita has the most AAA games and the best graphics. I'd take that into consideration before purchasing.

Well I just bought a Vita yesterday and I'm enjoying it a lot so far, but I still have to recommend the 3DS until Sony lowers those Memory Card prices.

Also depends on what games you're looking for on both systems. 3DS obviously has more but the Vita doesn't have none also.

3DSXL My Vita is collecting dust. No real good games to play. Graphics doesn't mean anything if there's no games with lasting replayability.

Go ahead and get a 3DS. Vita may or may not get a price drop and who knows if they'll ever price drop the memory cards. I'm speaking strictly from a monetary point of view. A Vita looks like a better system but yeah, I'd be burned if I went ahead and bought one and it was price dropped.

If you're going to be buying games digitally, then a 4GB memory card won't cut it as you'll pretty much only be able to have one game at a time. The current prices for the cards are $20 for 4GB, $30 for 8GB, $50 for 16GB, and $100 for 32GB. As for 3DS graphics, they're below Vita graphics for the most part, but RE Revalations looks incredible even when compared to the Vita.

I've owned both at some stage and both have their pros and cons. But I think I actually preferred the Vita, mainly because you can download alot of the old classic PS games.

Ha yeah. Maybe that's not a valid SW reason but I love the idea of playing all those PS one games on the go.

If you don't have a 3DS I say a 3DS, but for me I'd get the a Vita because I have a 3DS and never even use it. It has no games on it.... Really the system is lame as of now. It is getting some solid titles tho so I would not jump the gun on the big N yet!

Both systems have games that are worth looking into.

the 3DS doesn't have memeory cards with ridiculous prices (and the 3DS is cheaper to buy even ignoring memory cards). The 3DS is also doing better thus far in sales and has a more promising future because of it. Based on these two facts it is easier to recommend the 3DS.

Vanilla 3DS ;). For the games. When I got it in 2011 there was nothing out for it but nowadays there's a killer app RPG being released every other week it seems.

Because the Vita is better than the 3DS in every way for me so far except for sexiness of the system's design itself. But if it helps put it (my opinion) into perspective, it's still no DS or PSP yet.

Get a 3ds. And if you were to get a game get fire emblem awakening. I liked the fire emblems I have played before but this game is amazing. The vita has games but nothing that is on fire emblems level yet.

The Vita is the better system as far as hardware and system software goes. 3DS has more games but the entire experience is hampered by how bad the 3DS is itself imo, I own both but i really don't like playing my 3DS at all and would prefer all the games on it being on the Vita instead. The memory card prices suck but there have been deals going around lately if you look for them, I would suggest you don't get anything smaller then a 16gb card so that you can have a decent amount of PSP, PSone and Digital Vita titles and Getting PS+ is a must also.

I agree with the better looking but as of yet they both lack games. I would take a Vita as of now but later a 3DS. I do agree with the last part they have a long time ahead of both of them in my opinion!

Well I am a tech nut and holding a 3DS and Ps Vita there is such a huge gap, Vita screen is beyond amazing, and personally PsVita's games speak to me more.

I personally prefer the Vita, and would usually recommend it over the 3DS.  However, the Vita is bound to get a price drop in the West sooner rather than later, you might want to hold off a bit on buying one, or just get a 3DS.

Both have good games, don't let anyone on here tell you otherwise.  The Vita has better hardware, and better app software (YouTube, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, Party Chat, Group Messaging, Trophies, etc.).  The 3DS does have a strong looking 2013 line-up though with Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon, and Animal Crossing (the Sheep here will probably help fill in the rest :P ).  Vita has a decent 2013 line-up with Tearaway, Killzone, and Soul Sacrifice (and a few others, and some PSN games just got announced recently).

You really can't go wrong with either, it's best to just do some research for yourself and find out which games you want for both systems and decide from there.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you never had a ds, then the 3ds gets a huge edge thanks to its backwards compatibility. I personally prefer my vita but I think my 3ds will get some more use once monster hunter comes out.

Funny considering that the Vita has better hardware and Sony are making future plans for it with the PS4.

Hooo that's a horrible, horrible argument. 'buy it for a future potential that still hasn't nearly been realised at all'. I say that wanting to buy a Vita, for Gravity Rush and P4G alone. Thing just needs more developer support and dedicated titles, so much more.

I play my Vita far more than my 3DS, but it really just comes down to the games you like. Their libraries are completely different.

Just look at the Libraries.

but in reality you should just look at these two games and determine your purchase through them.

If you can, get both. If that is out of the question, then it is simply about which one offers the most games that you like. With the Vita you have a much higher chance of playing console quality games on your handheld. Uncharted, Ragnarok Odyssey, P4G, Soul Sacrifice, LBP, Wipeout, Madden 13, MLB The Show 13 and FIFA 13 are all excellent choices. Plus Phantasy Star Online 2 will be arriving in NA later this year...(hopefully)!!

I haven't got the chance to start playing Persona 4 Golden, but everyone says it's amazing and it spawned a pretty hilarious comic series so I should go get a physical copy as soon as I get a chance.

Theres also that massively long puzzle solving game if your into that stuff and imo vita has teh better fighters i'm leaning to it right now specially since I found a nice deal.. (pretty good for aus prices 249 for a starter pack, vita with wifi and a game of your choice). Coupled with that I know some guy that works at a game store and he can get a $50 psn card ( if they have those otherwise hes splitting it up into smaller amounts ) as well as a game. ( I will use the PSN card for PS+ Plus so thats 7 games from the start ). My lineup will be Metal Gear HD collection(3 games), Maybe Allstars Royale, P4G, Gravity Rush, Golden Abyss. So yea :)

Got myself a 3DS XL last week, so far I'm having a good time with Super Mario 3D Land and MK7. I also have a good backlog of games to play (FE:A, NSMB2, Kid Icarus, Prof Layton, KH, Paper Mario, etc.).

No doubt I'm getting a Vita a year down the road too (once I've completed my 3DS backlog).

I suggest you look at the lineups for both systems because that's what mattters the most. So far, both handhelds have a promising future so you can't go wrong either way.

Personally it depends...I have both, I am a die hard Nintendo Fan which really allows me to love games like Mario Kart 7, Super Mario Bros 2 and other games like that. But I also love my vita for games like Persona 4 and the massive psp games collection that I missed out on since I was a only DS player. Its your call, but I would really get both at some point, they are both a blast.

The Vita is nice to look at, the 3DS nice to play games on.
I don't think the Vita will have a long life. If you're buying the system to only play games on that are out now, I could see somebody angry with life buy a Vita.
