looks like theyre trying to copy microsofts defect rate now :Pejstrup
40% would be higher than the 360 failure but I believe the failures are only located in belgium vs. the 360 worldwide so u can't even begin to compare them. Either way if u guys but all fanboyness aside it's truly BS we get jerked around by M$ and sony with any defective consoles at all.

more m$ less sony. (fanboy on!):P
Solded? What are you? 5? A dog jumping on the keyboard? What's going on here?buuzer0
no but if I asked you to type one sentence in my language... what would be the answer??
Sold didnt look good in the sentence thats why I choose solded... but now that you brought it up I understand that its wrong.. English should change its dictionary because solded sounds much better in the sentence than sold.. :D
I think this just proves that you CAN'T get PC-level gaming in a little console box without sacrificing hardware quality.
You need SPACE and VENTILATION.
PC towers give you that - VCR-sized Consoles don't.
You can't cram a PC into a VCR case and expect it not to overheat and meltdown or a hundred other things.
I own a Xbox 360 and it's sad that that thing heats up my living room better then a kerosene heater...
Now PS3's look like the same cheap hardware.
huh? i tot the PS3 defect rate was extremely low....joeychew
It is very low. This speaks directly about the new 40GB model. People should wait for some better confirmation and sources about this before getting too excited.

Store shelves :)
And, yes I'm dutch.
Edit: Damn, too late :P
Don't be too hard on yourself. English is a pretty hard language to speak and write, so I hear. I've had a few years of German, and I imagine I would incorrectly translate things, too.
But I digress: I imagine this defect came from one factory that had incorrectly calibrated machines. Just a theory, of course.

Speaking English isn't too hard for me, my problem is writing English.
The vocabulary is there, I just often can't recall how to write certain words or which to use. (like when to use then or than)
I believe there might be some truth to your remark, I can imagine this being the result of an assembly problem for batch of the 40GB version.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the store didnt know the 40GB doesnt play PS2 games.Defect? Did 40% of people return it because it couldn't play PS2 discs?
