4K Console - Who lied more?

That is squarely on the developer not MS or Sony.

@Pedro: Yes, I know it's up to developers but at least MS could have help by encouraging developers pushing 60fps at the very least.

Whether you fanboys want to admit it or not, Both consoles are able to fill the screen of 4K HDTV’s.

I still laugh at resolution wars because I honestly could never see the difference between 1080i or 1080p, but you guys will swear up and down you are able to!

Same with Dynamic 4K vs True 4K. They look the same to me.

I honestly don't see why people even care about these consoles, they are pointless if you own the original and we should be seeing the next generation relatively soon.

The only 2 people on this forum that say the PS4 a "professional" console are talking to each other, hmmmmmm.

Anyone with a gaming PC on par or better than the X1X and Pro pretty much knew it wasn't going to happen with the majority of games, only the rare few optimised gems or easy to run games will hit 4K... But those games are rare.

They may have lied... But they only fooled the brain dead people who know absolutely nothing about hardware and actually believe that "console optimisation" is a real thing(they just change the settings).

It was Microsoft with saying thinks like True 4k with no compromise and Native 4K. Sony admitted their console would use upscale techniques to reach 4K.

Well to be fair this board is biased towards MS, so there isn't many SONY fans out there to celebrate the world's first professional video game console in the history of video games.

Microsoft lied the most. They hyped their console with "true 4K and 60 fps". Sony never did.

Atleast Sony and PS4 has good exclusives. Xbox One has no exclusives.

It took Microsoft over 1 year to beat the Pro, with a much bigger pricetag, still no exclusives. PC > Xbox One X.

Going to be fun when AMD's new Zen + Vega APU hits early 2018. Even budget PC's are going to beat One X. This chip will make it possible to build a One X killer for less money and PC has a much bigger game catalog, cheaper games, mod support etc.

Because it has games that are 4k...

And looking at the poll results, more people have voted that Microsoft lied more..... so who's not agreeing with me again ;)

The poll results are absurd. People think MS lied more when Sony touted a console as native 4K when it blatantly isn't? MS may be guilty of embellishment through advertising but they never told outright lies like Sony did. What's wrong with you all?

So its ok to clearly show 4 high profile games that don't touch 4k and say "play games in 4k", come on even you has to admit thats a shady.

Agreed, I would say we are 2 of only a few impartial and well informed posters here.

It just so happens that the PS4 has more to celebrate; with all its industry leading AAA exclusive experiences.

LOL. For at least the last 12-18 months theres been a daily rotation of xbox bashing threads. Cows post more about Xbox than Sony by a huge margin. Theres barely any Xbox fans even posting here because of all the cow trolling.

Most of pro games are in 1440p. X1X games are at least 4k or close enough to 4k that it's still takes advantage of a 4k screen. If you are not a fan boy(I know this is system wars) the answer is obvious

Shouldn't developers be the one pushing that? After all its their game and they should know what is best for their userbase. MS understands this and has pushed for 60FPS on their games. I don't think MS or Sony should be telling developers how they should utilize the hardware.

For me the Pro was only ever an option if my launch PS4 bricked. Which it hasn't yet. I'm waiting for the inevitable next PlayStation.

Sony made the PRO to make VR games to work better. Xbox has "true 4k" based on the words Phil spilled every time he opened his mouth.

If your willing to accept these total lies maybe your with the right console after all.
