5 Best Selling CONSOLE Games of THE YEAR (So Far)

The NPD Group, GfK Chart-Track Limited and Enterbrain have come together to release the Top Global Markets Report. It is the first report to combine point-of-sales data for video game sales across the three major video game world markets: the U.S., U.K., and Japan.

This report will soon be released every month and will break down video game sales in one specific country as well as sales across the world.

Anita Frazier, industry analyst, of The NPD Group had this to say about the new report:

"The video games business has become increasingly global, with the majority of the publishers releasing games in multiple markets. The U.S, as the world's largest market will be able to view and compare sales for the first time outside of their own market."

It released June 12th, so it would have the least time to sell over 3 million, but I believe by now its over 3 million. And thats only on ps3.

I deleted it because I realize I was being an idiot and not looking at the word "total" under the 6,293,000. I was assuming that figure was for a particular region. So, I completely screwed up the math. I'm sorry. I'm embarrassed.

Mario Kart wii was a letdown for me, they compleatly made the game unbalanced some how, so far I think the DS version is the best of all of them.

as a sheep supporter. i dont see why mario kart wii is selling so good. i know the brand is strong, but nintendo pulled a cop out with the wii version of mario kart, the series could of been so much more, if nintendo made the game with hardcore gamers in mind. they clearly made the game the way it is, for casuals. Have you tried racing the fast staff ghosts using manual control? I think the game caters to both casuals and hardcore. Trying to unlock everything in the game is not something I'd picture most casual gamers doing.
