Please take out Sonic and Mario off the list.

It's selling because of the GAMES... (Not Skype, FaceBook, or Twitter... SONY)

The box art for Monster Hunter 3G is freaking badass.

1 and 3 are the only ones pushing sales. 2 definitely isn't and 4 isn't out yet. 5 is only pushing sales in Japan. That said, yes, games are the reason the 3DS is selling so well. That's pretty obvious.

Do you mean as in, the latest official numbers? Cus it is surely close to 2m ww now.

I searched google for the quarter report, 3DS shipped 6.67m in 2011 from launch to September, pricecut occured mid-August so that includes 6 weeks sales at the new price.

If we assume PSV has sold 2m as of May, PSV has to sell about lets say 4.5m units to match 3DS (3DS numbers are shipped..), which is 5 months.

To give a rough estimation, VGC says it's selling 65k weekly now, well that add ups to 1.3m so ~3.5m in total so best case scenario is PSV does half (this is not considering that it'll inevitably decrease in sales during the summer and a potential pricecut)

I hope my math and all is right, I'm really tired lol
