its a 550 dollar video card in a about 1200 dollars PC

(550 gpu, 200 cpu, 150 motherboard, 100 psu, 60 hdd, 15 dvdrw, 50 ram, 20 case, 15 kb&mouse)

OP is an idiot, the 4870x2 was crossfire,I owned one, you needed to enable crossfire for it to work, BF3 there only is running DX10 because the 4870 did not support DX11. Dual 4870s are slower then a 7850 or 7870 not to mention devs will get alot more performance out of the PS4s GPU then a GPU in the average gamers computer due to working on 1 set of hardware.

Whatever, the point is anyone willing to spend enough money to build a supercomputer will be able to have a machine that is more 'future proof' than consoles. So what. Clearly that option has been available for ever and consumers have made their choice. Consumers generally support console gaming over PC.
