Ubisoft said similar things about the Wii U when talking about AC3. Some article a few months ago from computerandgames.com I think.

That there's even the slightest doubt that a console launching late 2012 has more powah than a 7 year old console doesn't bode well for Wii U. :?

That said, I'm 999% sure the Wii U is indeed more powerful than the current gen consoles. :P

I'd be highly disappointed if WiiU wasnt more powerful than 360 & PS3 considering these 2 systems launched back in 2005 & 2006

Since the controller will cost a lot, Nintendo can't sell at a loss and the price won't be over 350$ its pretty much guaranteed the WiiU will be weak as ****. If not, nice.silversix_

The good news is now Nintendo players can have 7 year old tech and finaly play ports of old games.

Great time to be a Nintendo fan. And they can look at their controler to see how much ammo they have left. Thats something you PS3 and xboxers never had. Just think of sneaking up on a guy looking at his controler not the tv and knifing the poor sheep. Then he rage quits and throws his $99 controler at the wall.

I think everyone expects it to be more powerful than 7 year old consoles, but how much more powerful is the real question and will it keep up with 720, Ps4 etc.

I'm pretty sure CRYTEK, of all developers, knows what they're talking about. That place is all about specs.

It's because the Xbox had a resolution advantage while the Wii didn't.The xbox wasted more power when it ran a game at 720P.And i heard doom 3 ran below 480P.:lol:

It should absolutely be more powerful. The fact that it's competition is 7 year old consoles and we even have to speculate whether it actually is more powerful is the problem. When MS/Sony release consoles it will once again be obvious that Nintendo released a gimmicky, underpowered piece of trash. Being more powerful than a 7 year old machine is not an accomplishment, it should be an assumption.Fossil-

And your point is? Wii still had great games. Well worth my $250. I played Chrono Trigger on the virtual console recently. Despite not having face-melting graphics, it managed to be one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time.

Wii is more powerful than Xbox on paper. However, it never showed this in practice.

Most of us with a brain already know that. Real question that people want answered is just how much more powerful?

i dont know much about hardware but i believe the released specs for wiiu was proven by hermits and people that known about hardware that it is more powerfull than curretn gen.
