Common enemy units look like locust knock off, seem like they couldn't come up with better enemy design or ideas other than basing them from previous games.

yeah atleast 343 gave us new enemy types in halo 4..this just seems pretty lazy and safe.

Looks good to me. I like how the storms affect the game play. Not expecting good opinions of the game from the usual SDF on here, but I'll be getting the game day one.

Actually I may just get the Gears Xbone S. It looks pretty badass. The actual engraved claw marks are a nice touch. I really regret missing out on the Gears 3 version of the 360 back in the day.

Beats Naughty Dog's brilliant game design of one enemy type throughout a whole game. What couldn't they make something up better than, regular mercenary and armored mercenary? Lol, what a bunch of hacks.

Hardware improved from the previous gen but the game is as linear as it was in 2006. Pretty mediocre.

And to think, xbox fans used to make a lot of noise about Uncharted being linear and made a big fuss about how they hated it!

Now look at that video, which is their biggest game of the year for xbox fans, and it is looking more linear than a handicap walkway complete with scripted events and exploding barrel type gameplay.

What do xbox fans think of this?

I personally think this looks great, but it's funny to see this game looking like all the things xbox fans claimed to hate when they were associated with certain PS games.

Looks good, I like the setting and the new cover moves are a nice addition. Should be entertaining coop. After that, I'll probably spend most of my time in horde.

I think it looks good in my opinion but for me, I'm gears burned out! I though the beta would get me back into the series but it didn't and I'm not never feeling the hype at all. Gears of War 3 and Judgment, I put lots of hours into those games and I guess I ran out of gas for this series. Like I said, I think it looks okay but other then that, that's it.

Where did I defend Gears? I never said one thing in it's defence. You seem to have a warped view of things, which means SW is exactly the place for you, it's full of people like you who only see what they want to see, congrats on being one of them :)

So you finally realised I never defended Gears, I accept your apology and will move on.

It looks pretty dull, to be honest. Gears 3 was the highlight of the series, but that drop and pop style of gameplay has gotten very dated. Notice the long stretches where the characters are just running through a long empty area, with nothing going on. That may have been okay with Gears 1, 10 years ago, but it doesn't cut it in 2016. And things like the running and shooting animations haven't been changed or improved in the slightest. And the physics in that sequence with the storm look clunky and very last gen. Microsoft needs to buy some quality game studios and get Scorpio out the door, because Sony is eating their lunch.

Gears of War is all about the unique multiplayer experience. And people keeping forgetting this is their first Gears game and they have to work with xbox one hardware. I think they did good all things considered. And sorry Gears should never change they tried changing the formula with Judgement and it failed miserably.

Oh boy, and I´m gonna play it in my Gears of War LE X1 Slim.
