lol, I bet a good portion of that number are re-buys. RRoD rate was awful from 2005-2009 ranging from 35% to 20% RRoD rates every year. Also Error rates were also high and contributed to the failure rates being as high as 50% at one point and time. Heck in my household alone we been through 5 Xbox 360's while everyone I know have been through at least 3 or 4, and one person is on his 7th (long gaming marathons ). Heck I even created an intake cooler for them. When people know the truth about how awful the quality and reliability was on the non slim models of the 360 that large number means squat

I don't know why cows would be happy over 2nd place. They ignore the fact that Sony f'd up so bad this gen that they lost over half their fanbase that PS2 had while Xbox has tripled its install base.

Dude the PS3 is a let down compare to the PS2,we all know that but the xbox 360 is also a letdown compare to the PS2,even the wii failed to keep the PS2 numbers alive,and now is basically the last in sales,something that didn't happen to the PS2 on its 6 years. Oh and the excuse for the xbox 360 of coming from 25 million of the xbox last gen to 70 million this gen so is a success that you people use is a joke,the PS1 zero to market leader for 2 gens,MS has failed twice,at least sony can say we won 2 and loss 1,MS has loss both and since sony enter Nintendo has won 1.

I'm pretty sure NPD proves you wrong, hardware sales can be tracked just as good as games can, but companys such as nintendo, sony, and microsoft would rather use shipped numbers to boast the numbers.

because I'm well versed in trollology. The 360 is a product which keeps selling through its supply chain. So if MS ships 2 mil units one quarter it will only ship what the retailers need and demand in the next quarter. Therefore, you can't "stuff the channels" continuously as there would be no demand. So once those are "shipped" they are sold. No idea how Sony's numbers on Uncharted worked, but a game like that isn't something which sells with continuous demand. The demand is incredibly high intially and then drops off almost completely after the first month or so, with rare exceptions. They are 2 completely different entities but I'm sure you will completely ignore that and put in laughy faces rather than answer my question.

Thats a seperate company which collates that, not Sony, MS and Nintendo. It also does it just for North America, theres no equivalent in say Europe, I'm apologise for saying that you deliberately being stupid before.

But you can convince the suppliers that your product is at a high demand.

And i know you cant constantly stuff the channels, you can actually only do it once, but you can stuff the channels like microsoft did last year, and claim they outshipped everyone, then ship jack all in the next quarter.

Yes but when your sales show all around lower sales,and you keep shipping big numbers is call stuffing the channels,which is done to make appear like the product is doing better than it actually is. The xbox 360 has been outsold by the PS3 by 1 million units in the first 6 months of the year,and now the slim is actually spiking sales,on a territory where the xbox 360 was already been outsold. Like i say the biggest difference in number is do to how MS report its numbers in a different way than sony. The PS3 had sold 66 million units on june this year on may 30 MS announce 67 millions,so both consoles are basically neck and neck,if anything i will have t say that the PS3 most be now at 68 or 69 million units.

But you can convince the suppliers that your product is at a high demand.
And i know you cant constantly stuff the channels, you can actually only do it once, but you can stuff the channels like microsoft did last year, and claim they outshipped everyone, then ship jack all in the next quarter.

Yeah Sony has had a 220% decrease this gen and MS has had a 280% increase. That's really impressive on Sony's part :roll: No wonder you had to try to compare 360 to PS2...

No.. In fact more like a 45% decrease,you can't compare the PS3 6 years numbers to 12 years PS2 sales. See this is why i consider poster like you to be a joke,the PS2 was like 107 million or less in its 6 birthday,in fact the PS2 reach 100 million in 5 years 9 months. The PS3 is 6 years and has sold like 68 millions,66 going by first quarter numbers,so basically the PS3 is like 41 million units away from the PS2 in the same time frame. But neither the PS1 or PS2 release for $600 dollars.

I never said the 360 had no games.....

360 has Halo and Witcher 2.

PS3 has Twisted Metal, Star Hawk, All Stars, and LBP Karting. It also had Journey and Tokyo Jungle.

Sony will always have more exclusives coming out because they have better 1st party, this is something that 360 only owners are just going to have to accept.
