I see a lot of posters making fun of Ryse because of the 900p resolution, but it's still a step up from 720p, which is what Knack and Drive Club is on the PS4, yet no one really cares or flames those games.
I would prefer every game this coming gen would be at 1080p, but that is not gonna happen, however I would rather have 900p then to downgrade to 720p ever again.

It's LOL when cows slams Ryse's 900p when PS4 has it's own 1920x1080p issues e.g. The Order 1886 (1920x800p).

Please verify Drive Club is rendering at 720p.
So much wrong info in this post...
Both DriveClub and Knack have INTERNAL RESOLUTIONS of 1080p.
"DriveClub, the PlayStation 4s launch title racing game currently runs at 30fps at a resolution of 1080p"
"A native Full HD 1080p game, something which was rare on the PlayStation 3, Knack also displays fine details in the leaves on the trees..."
The Order is being made by READY AT DAWN, Santa Monica are just giving support (just like they did for Journey and Hohokum and many many other games).
1920x800 looks like an intentional cinematic approach, since the pixel count is just less 25% from 1080p and there is no upscaling (black bars).
If they wanted to lower pixel count for performance they would go to 900p upscaled, it would be 34% less pixel count and for most gamers it would be very hard to notice (like Ryse is doing).
The Order
1 -(1920 x 800) / (1920 x 1080) = 0.259 or 25.9 precent less.
-----------
Ryse
1 -(1600 x 900) / (1920 x 1080) = 0.305 or 30.5 percent less.
