The price is not important. The people who are worried about the price will just get a WiiU. There is no going back for Microsoft-- they are charging $60 a year for internet when it's free on other platforms; they are fining players to play used/borrowed/rented games; they are forcing players to purchase the useless Kinect 2; the games require Kinect to be always on; the Kinect is always watching and listening to you; and you have to connect to the internet at least once a day to play your games.
Microsoft finally bridged the gap between console and PC gaming but not in the way that anyone wanted-- they have mandated codes for software.

I completely agree with all your points, but hopefully that newest rumor I was talking about above winds up being true. I seriously want good things for Xbox fans. Microsoft on the other hand??? they are no better then EA in my book... however that aside, they should treat their customer base better then these mandated codes.
I still hold out a very slim hope that Microsoft ill see the error of their ways and decide to do the right things... however, even if they wind up "doing the right things" due to low initial sales, I would still buy one at some point... not to support MS but to support the games industry and gaming in general. However, at this point Microsoft is making it too hard for me to want to support the gaming industry with THEIR product. It isn't the devs... it isn't the games... it isn't the hardware... it's Microsoft doing this. There is still time for all of this to change. Even if it is slow to happen and just one thing at a time.
I don't hold grudges so if MS steps up for gaming fans at some point, I will meet them halfway regardless of the circumstances. However, until then I will not... I can not... support the decline of gaming.
