[QUOTE="mismajor99"][QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]They didn't factor in the cost of the OS. Tack on another $100.whatisazerg

just as they don't tack on the cost of HDMI cables and 50" widescreen TV for max pleasure

HDMI cables are optional.... OS is NOT optional.

Sorry but you can't buy a $500 PC and CRUSH Crysis.

So, how are you posting then.

they didn't include an os or monitor etc, but i doubt someone will want to build a gaming pc, having never owned a pc. Everybody wanting to do this will have monitors etc. they should also have an os. this is a very good rig, for a good price. My rig is fine at moment so i won't be updating for a couple of years.

It does exist...official and benchmarked.

Kicking Crysis' ass would be running on very high on Vista at 30FPS. Still pretty impressive though.

Depends on the MacBook. Refer to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6mpu1n_iE8

MacBook (non-Pro) with Geforce 9400 IGP can play Crysis at mostly mainstream settings DX9 at 960x600.

Pretty good deal for the PC but it comes no where near to kicking Crysis' ass.

thefsmlol
Not everyone has a 1650x1080 monitor and vista 64.... but i do and my rig is pretty much similar to that.

the rig would max out crysis, but you'd need more than 2gb ram to eliminate pausing if you running max. id switch out that 4870 512 mb for a nvidia 275 gtx.

2GB of RAM is enough since its running on XP which uses way less memory then Vista.

Not that much less. Not enough to make a difference if it's on very high. The real problem is DX10. What a load of fud, plus it adds hardly anything new except memory hogging gimmicks.
