A Difficult Choice...

OK. My dad said that he'll buy me EITHER a Wii or a PS3 soon if I get 85%or above in all my classes. I'm pretty sure I can manage that, the tough part is choosing between the two.

He said he probably will get me the 40gb, without backwards compatibility, or might get the 60.

And he said if he buys the Wii, he'll also buy me any two games.Most of my friends have Wiis, and are saying that I should get it, to play online. On the other hand, we just got an HD tv, and I want to utilize it.

What would you do?

why no 360? do you already have one?

anyway i'd get the ps3 for sure. at that point you could either keep it if you like the games that are coming out for it or sell it and buy a wii and you'll have money left over for a couple games.

if u have a 360 already, get a wii.

if you dont, ps3.

If ur in middle school go for the wii, if not get a ps3 or 360

Now that's a good, real-life recomendation. Take advantage of your father's generosity and get the higher priced item. Then, hope you get the Wii as a present or save for it yourself.

With having the HDTV, you will love the PS3. And your dad will too!!! No BS. Its a great household system. If you haven't seen what PSN offers in the way of downloadables, you need to check it out.

@TC. If you have a PC get a Wii and ask for a bit of cash to upgrade your rig, if you have a 360, get a Wii and a few games. If you don't have any console yet, nor a PC, get a PS3. Simple.

PS3 is more expensive so I'd go with that. The Wii is cheaper so you could always buy your own if you really wanted one (which you don't seem to since you can't decide between them).

Look at the line-ups. PS3 has less games coming out, but they look more promising. Wii has hundreds of games and 95%% of them are Wiiware
