Halo 2 sold better than Halo 1.

GTA SA sold better than Vice City, which sold better than GTA3

finala fantasy x sold better then xi and 12. gt 3 sold better then gt 4. mgs 2 sold better then mgs 3. tekken tag sold better then 4 and 5. kingdom hearts sold better then kingdom hearts 2. devil may cry sold better then devil may cry 2... etc..

Just give it up. The PS3 is trialing behind but it has games that will spark interest. I don't see why you guys try to argue this fact, you seem like you don't want anything PS3 related to succeed. Ratchet & Clank will sell systems if it turns out to be a great game, period.

Any Sony fanboy that believes will actually sell system is totally deluding themselves.

The Ratchet and Clank series has always been a mainstream title (i.e: casual). When the first R&C game released, the PS2 was at over 30 million units sold and was $199. Which mean it had hit the majority mainstream audience

To date R&C1 has sold 2.93 million copies. R&C2 2.42 and R&C3 2.17

The PS3 is made up of hardcore Sony fans and techphiles. In other words, the R&C audience aren't PS3 owners.

Which means be lucky if the new R&C reaches 700k by years end.

I AGREE! R&C 3 WILL sell systems and it IS backed by tons of other good games!

People who think they're too 'hardcore' to play Ratchet and Clank are only hurting themselves by missing out on a AAA franchise. The fact that it also sells to casuals means jack all.chutup

i think 700k is a very, very generous estimate... unless you're including the entire 10 year lifespan of the ps3.

I don't think very many people are expecting a system seller like the very first one this time around so why really bother making th thread ?

Ratchet will be great , and it will sell pretty good. Hopefully can get to the million mark.

Actually thats the main reason and only reason why im getting a PS3 this year. I fell in love with the R&C francise since the first one and i own every R&C game on the PS2.

So yah you pretty much fail because you said that R&C will NOT sell a system. Even though thats why im buying a PS3.

I remmember when Haze was only "another" game. Once it turned exclusive it's now THE HAZE game.

GTA was the only true console seller in the PS2.
