[QUOTE="SPYDER0416"][QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] Indeed. People need to stop acting like graphics don't bring anything to a game, they're one of the most important aspects. Of course good graphics could still be a s***ty game, but good game + good graphics is only a good thing.Chris_Williams
Its not JUST graphics though, a more powerful console would mean the potential for bigger worlds, for more content, and more story and dialogue without needing to skimp on the graphics or take shortcuts. Plus attention to detail is something that can turn a good game amazing, and better graphics certainly allow that.
So I think a new console generation would be nice, especially since this one has lasted so long and has been so successful.
thats also what i want, i want the next gen to focus on making better game experiences "improving A.I, adding more enemies on screen, giving me longer games", i could care less if i can see my character sweat or that trees have more polygons, thats what is killing the industry imo. like i said graphics are nice and all but i don't want to buy a 60 dollar game just becausa it looks good then i beat it and never touch it again.Nothing wrong with a beautiful game, but I personally prefer a lot of things to beauty and high as hell resolutions. A smooth and consistent framerate, smart AI, customization and content everywhere, human animations and nice effects are all higher up for me. Its weird to play a nice looking game and get taken out of the moment because an AI enemy is doing a weird diagonal run glide into a wall.
