Its sad really when people let their insecuritys get in the way of a intelligent conversation. No Motorstorm will not kill the 360 but it is another good could be great game coming this fall to the PS3. While it's not a system selling game it did sell over a million prior to being bundled.
Now lets face it Evolution screwed up only releasing half a game. But the half the game they did release was good the 7.9 will attest to that. Everything about Motorstorm was top notch except for lack of content, and it looks like Evolution is going to make it right this time. 4 player split screen, double the tracks rumored descructible enviroments sound good to me. Hell if Motorstorm launched with eliminator and time trial it would have scored far better then it did here.

7.9 with gimped modes and no split screen. That should show most of us just how fun the core mechanics were :). I'm very excited to see what they add and fix.
One thing I give them credit on was their DLC it was fairly priced and they did release a far amount. Even though half of it should have been in the game when it launched. Atleast we know it will get DLC in the future.

I guess my sarcasm is off today. I think all of the DLC released for Motorstorm should have been included in the original game. Then it would have been a full game with 12 tracks, and time trail and eliminator for extra gamemodes.
Yes, racers, the most shallow games, that are only a rent for me, is somehing PS3 excels indeed, i doubt will help it push one more console, or be a better machine than 360 that has games i BUY, like Lost oDyssey, Fable 2, Alan Wake etc

we've all seen the bullshot trailer. i'm excited about it cause i loved motorstorm 1 and i love that the game is going to get spltscreen and more varied landscape.

Then I feel sorry for you. Load up Project Gotham Racing 3 or 4. Motorstorm was a mess of slow loading times, slowand poor-handling vehicles, and AI that focused more on taking you out than winning a race.
The original wasn't a bad game. It got AA on Gamerankings. The only real problem was the lack of content, and the sequel seems like it will fix that. (twice as many tracks)
So it seems the 360 racers are failing offroad and onroad. On one site Gran tourismo 5 to destroy forza 2 and on the other side motorstorm 2, just to make sure that even if the 360 had a decent offroad racer, it would get nailed right away. I never seen a racing game as good looking and as fun as motorstorm, but now, version 2 !!!! 16 track, 4 player split screen, 16 players online, wwwowwwww, in a completely new environment !

Is this a joke thread. Motorstorm was nothing speacial, also I hate games that try to hide lame graphics with Motion Blur. If you drive over 10 MPH then the screen becomes all blurry.
I'd take Forza, Gran Turismo, PGR, Burnout, Dirt, and Need For Speed (Yes i said it) before this game and in that order. Motorstorm was a big disappointment for me and i will not be picking up the sequel.

Do some research before you say things like that.
They had to bundle the game in order for it to sell so he's right it isnt a system seller it's just a game with no appeal that sony bundled in to give incentive to by there console.
I wouldn't dare say "nail in the coffin", but I would say one of the best looking racing games of all time and another big title to add to the list of amazing game of 2008.
The first one was extremely fun and had an amaing soundtrack. If they fix the issues then it could be AAA material.

Now there is where you are wrong Motor Storm was a system seller it was bundled in with a ps3 therefore helping sell the system plus you get a game so yeah it is a system seller as is all games bundled with a system lol anyway i have my doubts i was happy with the first one (but that didnt last) so im not looking forward to this one it will have to prove its worth to me altho i might just pick it up cuz of the 4 player split screen thats what the other one needed but yeah prove me wrong and ill buy this game if it gets lower than 8.5 in most places i wont buy it i really want this game to be great if its not too bad i wont second think it for a purchase

The first one sold 3 million copies and has a large fanbase. Imagine what Motorstorm 2 could accomplish sale wise with the increase in user base and quality of the game.
IT was a pack in. Although Forza 2 was a pack in for 360 also.

What are you babbling about? Were talking about a crappy CGI trailer here... Which is based off of the first not so great game in the series.
I don't care if it has 4 player split screen... Or a new location... The developer proved they can't make a good game. So instead of all the talk they did last time... They need to do more proving this time.
the only thing that motorstorm was really attacked on by GS was a lack of tracks/racing modes. if they can keep the awesome formula going, with 16 players online, 4 player splitscreen and better graphics, not to metnion 16 tracks at launch, i can expect an AAA game. i loved the first one
