I have to disagree, the 360's library of games far outweighs that of the PS3. in quality and quantity. When someone walks into a Wal-Mart and see's two full sections of 360 games, versus the PS3's 1/2 a section not all but most would likely go with the 360.Assuming MS didn't make a price move, I think slashing the cost of the PS3 to $450 would be very effective. For $30 less than the Elite or $50, you get plenty of HDD space, Wifi, and a Blu-Ray player. Now, I know a lot of people will say that they don't care about that...but I think many people, for just a little more, would be willing to purchase a PS3 for that reason over a 360.
But, the problem is, if they announce it at E3 and wait until September to do it, then you know PS3 sales will dry up immediately in the meantime. So if you're going to announce one, it needs to be one of those, "As soon as this conference closes, the price will be $xxx."
