Absolutely.
Why wouldn't I be?
It's been in all honestly the greatest Multimedia device for mY HD Set in my Living Room. I can't imagine my setup without it. Saving what I stream from my PC rules! Blu-Ray, Bluetooth, Browsing the net for quick answers, Upscaling DVD's, PS3 games, Built In WiFi, Free Online gaming without having to worry about paying months later, PS2 Upscaled Games, PSOne Upscaled games, PSOne DL games, PSN Arcade Games, PSN updates, RockBand having a Wireless Guitar....it's been fantastic.
What a silly thread.
Yes and no. I've had mine for about 8 or 9 months now and have yet to buy a game for it. There are just not really any games for it that appeal to me that aren't also available for the Xbox 360. Anything multi-platform I buy for the 360, since the majority of my friends are on Xbox Live. Achievement points are also a major reason I buy multi-platform games for the 360.
I do like the Blu-ray player. Even though I have no games, I have bought 4 movies for it. Movies never looked so good. I am sure once an exclusive comes out that I am interested in (MGS4 or FFXIII), I will buy my first game.
yes i love it. im fine with the games out now.. haha to tell you the truth this whole week ive been playing pixel junk monsters non stop.. that game is so addictingArsenal325What is pixel junk monsters? ive seen it in playstation store but don't know what it is. care t enlighten me?

It's kind of a strategy game where you build towers to fend of monsters.
That's good to hear I'm glad you're all enjoying it. I am thinking about getting one myself. :)Bigboi500

yeah basicaaly it.. you have this little tribe you are defending so u go out and build these weapons to defend the path way to your home.. something like that. once the monsters reach your base they kill the little tribe people and once there are none left you lose.. haha.. its so addicting definately worth the money imo

Yes and no. I've had to deal with a lot of bullcrap on the games front....
I was one of the early adopters and I've had to pay for it with the early game drought. Basically, I played the piss out of Resistance and Fight Night until Motorstorm came out, at which point I played the piss out of it until Rainbow Six came out....then I bought Sigma and so on.
And then I realized Rainbow Six on PS3 blew ass and traded it back.
So, there you go....the few games on PS3 that use P2P networking (RB6V, COD4) drive me up the friggin' wall (although that isn't a huge criticism considering the competition), delays drove me crazy early on, and the game drought was weak.
Still, I love the games that I own. Motorstorm, Resistance, Ratchet, Uncharted....with the exception of NGS, I've enjoyed everything.
DMC4's coming out soon, and what not, and I'd love to pick up Folklore and Eye of Judgment when the price gets a bit more reasonable.
The DLC is excellent and it's actually new and creative IP, the dedicated servers, esp on games like Warhawk, are excellent fun, the graphics are fantastic and getting much better.
Frankly, Uncharted was an instant-validation.
FFXIII, DMC4, GT5....I'm keeping my eye on those coming up.
The controller's great, BC is great, and I've been eating up Blu Rays since launch via Netflix (something I recommend to all you guys...standard DVD subscription price, they give you Blu Rays for free!!).....Planet Earth, RoboCop, Rambo, Ratatouille, Apocalypto....I'm waiting for Transformers and King Kong, and I'll be so friggin' happy I'll explode all over the room.
Apocalypto was SO FRIGGIN' GORGEOUS. Oh, Departed was good on BLURAY.

Yes. Yes.
But you should know that I have limited time to play. So one simple game like COD4 is enough to hold my attention for months at a time.
For more avid gamers, I can certainly buy the argument that the game library is limited.
Of course, the fact that I don't play often makes reliability all the more important.
I like my PS3. I actual use the wifi(never though i would). I like the free online since i only play time to time. I leave it on for hours downlaoding demos and folding at home. Also i love that the blu ray disks are scratch resistant. As for games im satisfied becasue of great games like uncharted and ratchet. OVerall i love my ps3 and im very satisfied.

See your question should have been "360 and PS3 owners are you satisfied with your purchase?" because a PS3-only owner is definitely satisfied and that's because of Multiplats and exclusives. An owner of both a 360 and a PS3 will have to choose which system to buy the Multiplats for, but a PS3-only owner does not!! The PS3 has had many great games exclusive and multiplats.

Of course I do silly, I have all the machines. This thread is asking if I liked my PS3 purchase, which I do. If there were a thread asking me if I liked my 360 purchase, I would talk all about that.
The 360 has been a nice alternate to HD gaming when my PS3 isn't being used. I own more games for my 360, so I definately do use it.

Oh, well if that is what the TC wanted, void my comment. I can tell you, I'm not the only one here that responded.
As a matter of Fact, PS3 ONLY owners would like the PS3 MORE than me, because they wouldn't buy multiplats on their 360, they'd buy them on PS3.
So if anything, PS3 ONLY owners would like it more than a 360/PS3/WIi owning guying like myself.
I think if you only have a PS3 of course you're going to love it regardless because you don't know what you're missing.
Same could be said if you only have one of the other consoles.
I bet you if you asked people with more than one console including the PS3 you would get different responds.
Yes and Yes. I have 27 games that rock and 25 blu-ray movies along with PSP games. Worth every penny I've spenthiryu3
i have 17 PS3 games, i guess u beat me for now. but with all the great games coming this year, my library will outnumber your by the end of the year:P

I love it, I have a pretty high end pc so I can play all 360 games on pc(and pc>360 obviously) so ps3 and pc and soon WII will be perfect for me.
No no, your comments are appreciated too. Actualy the thread title was just a ploy to bait people into clicking the thread because i thought it might appear to be a typical fanboy flamebate thread title. I was actually quite curious to see if a civil thread could rack up posts as opposed to the spite filled, fanboy flamebait that normally gets all the responses here.Oh, well if that is what the TC wanted, void my comment. But it's true I am planning to get a PS3 sometime this year and am curious to see what the PS3's biggest fans think about it.
