Yes, totally.

i already bought and finished 5 games (Resistance, Motorstorm, The Darkness, R&C and Assassin's Creed) and 6 PSN titles. I'm about to buy more games (my list is big).

Also, i installed Linux in my PS3, and this message, for example, is being brought to you by it. My PC is broken, and i'm not willing to spend some money right now fixing it. So i'm using the PS3's linux for all my PC needs, and there's nothing to complain about it (surprisingly).

oh yeah, and Blu-ray does indeed look far better than DVD.

Are you satisfied with your purchase? Are you content with the current selection of games for it?

Bigboi500

Yes why wouldn't I be? There's over 150 games to choose from with more coming out every day.

i knew what i was getting into when buying a ps3 and selling my 360 (which RROD'ed on my firend a couple weeks after he bought it off me), and now i have the ultimate home theatre system thanks to it, and my receiver/speakers of course.

and yeah, the games will come, im mostly a PC gamer so im not too bothered by the lack of games for ps3, but good games will be coming out soon and im excited for most of them.

if you already have a really good gaming rig (PC), the best console to go with it would either be a ps3 or a wii, depending on your taste. when it comes to xbox (which is still a good console) its just too similar to a gaming PC (and weaker of course)

now if only they'd update the ps3 to handle more video formats like h264 and mkv, (and full 5.1 uncompressed dolby True HD bitstreaming) id be happy.

I am not a PS3 only owner, but I still can say that i thoroughly enjoy my purchase.. I am a movie junkie and the games that are currently out aren't as dissappointing as lemmings would have you believe. On the contrary, I am quite satisfied with the exclusives that are out and multiplats are just as good on both systems since I don't care about the small graphical differences that fanboys like to point out.

With my PS3 as the main console I use, I'm pretty happy with the gaming library. I can really only afford 1 $60 game every 1-2 months, so with exclusives + multiplats + 08 lineup, I have my hands full and wallet empty.

YES,

I also have a decent PC which I do plan on investing in better hardware, so I can play PC and 360 games with better quality. Also I have no interest in playing nintendo's games so I have no current plans on buying a wii.

Yes. Yes.

To further comment: Even if I wasn't satisfied with the PS3's library, that doesn't mean I'd take the 360's as an alternative since I have nothing but disgust for Halo, Gears, and Ninja Gaiden. Bioshock, while a good game, isn't enough--Not even when it's combined with Mass Effect and Condemned: Criminal Origins. And Alan Wake/Condemned are available on PC anyway.

This is not a good question IMO, since they have not experienced 2 years of contant AAA gaming on 360, so of course they would think that 7 hours games like Uncharted are great to spend a year of gaming with

Uncharted is actually 12-15 hours BTW.

A question for PS3 only owners on a MB primarily checked by people using their PC's... I'd be willing to bet you're getting the PC/PS3 demographic rather than the PS3 only demographic.

Oh don't be silly. Is Bill Gates your father?

Does it occur to you that not everybody has a shrine dedicated to Marcus Fenix and has Master Chief thongs?

I haven't played it as much as I have my XBox 360. When I do play it, I enjoy it. I only have about 5 games for it, but what I have are fun games. Thanksfully, I got my 60GB on EBay for cheap and it gcme with games and blu-ray movies. So my purchase was justifiable to me.

Uncharted was 7 hurs of shooting for me, a really HUGE dissapoinment of a game

now, if Uncartedimpressed you, but Mass Effect did not, well, you have a totally different taste in gaming than me, sorry, that does not make my preferences any less important though

You must have played the game on easy then 'cuz the average rate of completion is 10-12 hours. One can squeeze 15 hours out of the game on Crushing.

Mass Effect is the only 360 game worth a damn to me (along with Condemned), but ME alone doesn't make up for a host of a generic overrated crap.

BTW: Mass Effect wasn't rated AAA. Sorry.

Believe it or not, some of us don't like the 360's selection of exclusive games.

What kind of answers does someone expect when they pose this kind of question?

Of course there are people satisfied with their purchase, just as there are 360 and Wii owners happy with theirs.

Yes to both :).

Uncharted, R&C, Reistance, Ninga Gaiden, and Warhawk. Teh Blu-Ray is goldy if you have an HDTV to take advantage of it. Last but not least: future titles that will blow the socks off of anyone who plays them 8).

You should definitely get one this year. You won't be dissapointed my good man.

Absolutely. Now, was my excitement for the system dwindled a ton back in spring of '07? Yes. But I knew that it was a PlayStation console and the titles would come.

Since summer of '07, I've had plenty of games to play. I rent a lot, and have played, on average, a new game every week.

The best part has been the variety of games. Not only have I been satisfied as more of a "hardcore" gamer, but so have my friends and family that love to play High Velocity Bowling, Calling All Cars, Pain, Go Sports Ski, and others.

While 360 has had some great titles, most of them I would treat the same as the PS3 titles I've played. I'd rent them. Yes, I said it. I'd only rent games like Bioshock and Mass Effect. Just like I did with Heavenly Sword and Uncharted. It takes a lot more game, usually an online MP, to get me to make the purchase. Otherwise, to me, its a waste of money. I don't reply titles for more coin or anything.

But games like Warhawk, CoD4, GEOW, those are buyable games to me. So, as you can see, I ain't missing ****. PS3 is doing me and oothers just fine.

And lemmings act like if you don't have a 360 you don't get a full experience. Crap. Tell me its alright to not have a PS3 with such a powerful lineup this year of known franchises.

saolin323

Yes, of course. Those of us who had all three systems last gen and are still playing games for that gen believe all PS3 titles are a blessing from God upon us even though they are actually mediocre.

Like I said in an earlier post, I enjoy my PS3. Does that mean my taste in games sucks? No. I have played through plenty of titles, own four, and have experienced good and bad. I've played through CoD4, NGS, HS, FEAR, and I've attempted LAIR. I'd say I've had a very good experience with my PS3 so far, and those are only a small number of the games I have played.

And my last gen experiences were amazing. KH 1 & 2, FF X & XII, GoW 1 & 2, Fable, Halo 1 & 2, SSBM, LoZ WW & TP, MP, HL2, etc. etc. Does the experience feel any bit less amazing because of those games? I have yet to notice my PS3 being a lame decision.

But also, just because I own a PS3 doesn't mean I'm limited to only playing PS3 titles. I've played through Gears, Halo 3, a few R6: Vegas levels, and other 360 games. I've also played Wii titles such as Wii Sports, MP3, SMG. I have tasted those games that must supposedly be the sweat of the gods and yet, I still enjoy my PS3. A lot.

So to be honest, I don't see your argument holding any water, muddy or purified.

Very. I haven't even been able to rent everything I've wanted to play.
