A question from a 36 yr old, "Why not own a 360?"

Look, why suffer over brand loyalty? It doesn't matter what brand you support we all have one thing in common, we love games!!! so why be a biased loser when you can be an open minded winner? Instead of having very limited games to play, why not choose to play them all? why not buy a 360 to compliment your PS3 and or WII setup? what have you got to lose, a little bit of silly fanboyisim? I'm posting these links to XBOX Live.com, I dare anybody that owns a PS3 and or a WII to check them out!!! and if you don't.. and choose to be a loser, than at least you'll be an educated loser!!! On this site you will find everything that you could possibly want to know "THE FACTS" about XBOX, XBOX 360, the services available and its community!!! Ive posted direct links to what I feel are, "KEY AREAS"  that I believe truly define the whole 360 experience, but please feel free to explore the whole site in your own way!!!

I think games are no reason - not everyone likes Halo not everyone wants Mass Effect, fact is the 360 is better than any other console (not PC)

I knew someone was going to write this when I opened this thread.

Right now there is actually a good reason to NOT own a PS3, especially if you already own a 360. If you look at this list of Top Rated PS3 games you will see that most of the best are on the 360 already.  What doesn't show is that many were released on the 360 first.  So if you have a 360...  the only real reason to get a PS3 at this point in time is for Resistance.  That's a lot of money for one game.  The PS3 needs a larger game collection and more games that are not already on the 360 before it warrants a purchase.

However, the 360 has over 40 AA and AAA games.  Most are not available on the PS3.  So gamers do have a lot of gaming options with the 360 they can not find elsewhere.  In the future the PS3 will have more exclusive gaming options as well.

It's just the same that someone who prefers PC gaming and has a great gaming PC may not rush out and get a 360, as many of the games can be played on their computer.

I have only had it for 5 - 6 months. I judge electronics "value" on reliability. The 360 wasn't worth the money i paid for it.

7.  Uncertain future for it's movie format

8.  Scaling Issues

9.  Bluetooth Issues

10.  Sixaxis Issues

11.  Ken Katarugi

12.  Giant Enemy Crabs

13.  Giant Enemy Crabs again

14.  No Halo 3 again

15.  I can't think of a 15 but 14 seemed an awkward number to end on.

i just got a Wii recently, and i can say i'm very satisfied with it. i've played the 360 numerous times at my cousin's house, it just didn't feel like too interesting to me. basically all the games are the same old stuffs with better graphics only. shooter shooter shooter, and another shinnier shooter, boring....

My Dish Vip 622 looks NO DIFFERENT on HDMI than component.  You are full of it.  HDMI is completely irrelevant.  You can argue all you want but go to any tech site or talk to any expert and they will honestly tell you that HDMI quality over Comp or VGA is practically non existant.  The issue almost entirely rests on whether the industry enforces the standard or not to combat piracy.

Actually with PS3 your forced to buy it at $500 or $600. With Xbox360, you can choose to buy $300 (very basic) , $400 (which is the best one) , or this $480 one (which is like a Super Size version). Also 360 doesn't force you to buy into a new format (Blu-ray / HD-DVD) its an option.

Gaming options? such as buying xbox live for, say 5 years? that itself costs 250 - 300$.

not to mention no free wifi, i dont wanna buy a 100ft ethernet cable nor do i want to waste 150$ buying wifi.
