Whether he is talking about virtual memory (a page file) or Video RAM he is wrong. No matter how he tries to spin it he has no idea what he is talking about. A page file is much much slower than actual RAM is only used as a back up to RAM. It can store certain information not used recently to make room for new information to be transferred into RAM. But if you are hitting your limit in RAM usage when playing a game then even the page file won't help. It will still chug and constantly freeze/stutter as it tries to make room to store new information.

They could add more ram with ram expansion like on n64 for ps3/360 games run crappier graphics if u dont own add on.

Not exactly vram is textures...main memory is level size or polygon count.

Would a 200 polygon character with super high res textures look good? Not exactly.

killzone2 had little no no pop in compared because it didnt use streaming everything was loaded into memory before the game starts.

killzone3 has streaming and mad pop in because the games loading while ur playing.

streaming music is alright.....streaming for games never been a fan of that id rather everything load before the game starts instead of loading **** awhile im playing.

EXACTLY! Instead of focusing all of game developement on one part, focus the performace hitters on the virtual memory instead of real RAM, and it will allow better graphics, better loading, drawdistance, textures, etc. etc.

streaming does allow for bigger levels but the drawback is pop in id take smaller levels with no pop in that's just me.
