ms cant win with out japan, ms can win with how there system is selling in europe.

ms will never be able to win any generation, with out selling units in japan, and europe. the only place its selling good is in usa.

like ms stated in the start of 360, they no they need japan to win.

and now they no they have lost in japan, when a system that is almost twice the price has passed up the totle sales in japan in 4 weeks while the 360 has been out a year.

 They had the money last gen and it didnt help.  There is a simple reason why MS will not win, it does not have worldwide appeal.  It doesnt matter how much you advertise, it only works if people have a want for your product.  There are plenty of tampon commercials but me as a dude dont go to the store to buy them.  MS is following the same route it did last gen and that is have a solid NA audience and thats it.

Yes but the difference is we didnt pay 50 dollars a year to then be charged microtransactions, and not all games charge for extra content.  I got new maps on Resistance for free, they updated it plenty of times and put in new team modes as well and it didnt cost me a thing.

Maybe and maybe not, those are optional microtransactions.  If people like that sorta thing great for them.  The point is I can play my games for free and thats what I care about.  The same can be said about the 360, I am sure that many people buy games and add ons for games via Live on TOP of the 50 dollar cover charge a year to play.  I am well aware that microtransactions are gonna be on all systems but paying to play just doesnt cut it for me.

The reason Microsoft may win the console war is because the Direct X platform and talent pool for Xbox360/PC development is absolutely huge.  Sony and Nintendo are going to have a tougher time getting career programmers to give up on the Xbox360/PC platforms to pursue platforms that may only be around for 4-7 years.  microsoft however has much of the same problem that American car companies have in Japan. They do not want to buy American products in which their own country has such strong brands. Will Ford motor company ever outsell Toyota in the Japanese market? Hell no. Neither with the Xbox360 or whatever comes after that.  Microsoft's tools and unified development platform however is creating a huge pool of developer talent. They make the games and the platform allows ATI and Nvidia to continue to bring better and better abilities to PC's and next versions of Xbox while programmers utilize consistent common toolsets.  This is Microsoft's major advantage and why PC games in three years will look much better than anything on the PS3 or Xbox360.  Even Sony has to bow down to MS to use Vista for their PC's.  There is no question who is really in the drivers seat when you look at the combined force of PC and Xbox360 gaming that Microsoft brings to the table. 

Not this same crap again.... X360 = $50 (XBL) + $50/year (electricity as PS = 160W) = PS3 $0 (PSN) + $100/year (electricity as PS = 380W)
