[QUOTE="Demetri_OS"]$600 and 4 years later - you guys get to play Ninja Gaiden. /slow_mocking_clapfuzzysquash
Ninja Gaiden was a great Xbox game. But in terms of sheer quantity of top-notch quality titles, the PS2 had many more than the Xbox.
Â
Â
if you are in to JRPGs and other trash like that
Â
There was only 2 exclusives for the PS2 that I found worth while
God of War and Guitar Hero......and of course the latter is much better on 360 nowÂ

no more counter-arguments to Sigma versus NGB?Â

I know what both look like on my 1080p tv
I know the difference is minimalÂ

Well then since you make your 1080p tv seem so godly, please prove to us it's powers with screen shots comparing them both together.
As stated earlier.....is it a $600 difference? They both play at 60fps which I tend to use as a bottomline in comparisons. Or let's ask if it is as big a difference as there was with the arcade and DC version of Soul Calibur. You see with that, you didn't need a HDTV to see the difference..it was cleary staring you in the face. With NGS, yeah i see some good touch up work there no doubt but $600 worth? I don't know bout that one...

I just found this whole episode amusing.
First you said difference between NGB and Sigma was smaller than Halo 2 and Halo 3 beta.
Then I showed you the gamevideos.com comparison video, which had a demonstrably significant difference.
Then you said the comparison was a bunch of "crap", and that the NGB video was "5x" underrepresented.
Then I pointed out that if the NGB video was underrepresented, so was the Sigma video.
Then you suggested that the NGB video was captured in low-quality.
So...gamevideos.com captured the NGB video in low-quality and the Sigma video in high-quality just to "deceive" you into thinking there was a big difference? It's all a conspiracy run by Sony, right?
What a joke, man.

And as I asked earlier, who buys a $600 console for one game? :|

Yeah...and did they stop buying games for the Playstation after finishing FFVII?
Don't try to exaggerate the cost-value ratio of the PS3 by suggesting that people bought the console for one remake.
On top of Sigma, exclusives like FFXIII, FFvXIII, MGS4, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Eight Days, Socom 4, Heavenly Sword, White Knight Story, the Getaway PS3, Little Big Planet, etc, etc, as well as multiplats like GTAIV, Assassin's Creed, DMC4, etc, etc, etc, plus all the games in development that haven't been announced....all that combined is worth $600.
You're not fooling anyone with that "is Sigma worth $600" routine.

You see here is the thing...i used to think that the car analogy was BS but it really does apply here. You can name all the great upcoming games you want for the PS3, which is totally fair, but the biggest hurdle is that $600 entry fee. It's like this...we all know ferraris and lambos and vipers are top of the line cars. They provide performance that your average economy car does'nt. Most of us probably would'nt mind owing one but the asking price is more than what the average person is willing to pay. Same can be applied to the PS3. Great performance (and that's even debatable) but the asking price is more than what the average person is willing to fork out. I love Ninja Gaiden too but if you think PS3 numbers are going to magically spring into action because that game has been thrown into the pile with the other games you mentioned then there ia nothingb else I can say to you. Good Day.
$600 and 4 years later - you guys get to play Ninja Gaiden. /slow_mocking_clapDemetri_OShow is that cows fault?(not that im defending them) NG was exclusive to xbox....that was a dev choice not a fanboy one....that being said now NG is multiplatform....and they get NGS and NG2. :? so why Mock?
like I've been saying since this morning
Â
the only difference is better textures and lighting

i can't disagree with that. it is the same game. a couple new weapons, moves and animations too.Â
The game looks great and most definately looks better than NG:B only its not as much of an improvement as people were expecting.
NG:S Hayabusa looks exactly like DoA4 Hayabusa
Snugenz
He's wearing the exact same outfit.Â

You changed your argument. First it was that PS3 owners are paying $600 for a minor upgrade from NG:B to Sigma. When I shot that down, you started arguing about how the price was too high for good sales. Did I ever make a claim that "PS3 numbers are going to magically spring into action"? No. That's entirely off-topic.
Your first point was defeated so you switched topics.Â

And probably framerate. But what else do you expect. It's a remake, just with better textures, lighting, resolution, etc...Â
Way to jack Dreams_Visions pics and post them in your topic. Anyways, the game looks phenominal (as does NG:B for the original Xbox). I want this game soo bad as I've never played it before.SergeantSnitch
As you should. It is, quite possibly, the single greatest thing ever.Â
