I find this service to be a really great deal, I dont find it any less value of having to carry this over to PS4 for multiplayer games.
Anyone else?

If its a program you enjoy and plan to keep paying towards then yes it is a phenomenal value - just as long as you keep paying.

What this thread made me think of, and I don't really want to derail this too much, is that those with Live Gold will be receiving two games until November which are theirs to keep even if they stop paying for Live.
So it should come out to 8-10 games, and if the July offering is any indication (Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3) the games are top shelf quality.

If you had one whole PS4 game in 1 month that's worth $60 and already makes up for the entire year, lol. Not to mention all the other 11 months and the possibility of them adding multiple PS4 games in a given month along with the discounts, PS3 games, Vita, games, etc. etc.
You can't argue that it's a great deal ;).

AC 2 and Halo 3 are really old games lol, and this service doesn't even apply to next gen.
And if you stop paying for live, you can't play Halo 3 multiplayer which is a pretty significant part of the game.

but I meant stuff thats subscription based. And you still have to pay for the game you get on steam, yeah they are cheap, but you pay for them, is not like Steam is giving you free games and letting you keep them.

Why would you stop paying? You get to finish every single game, and there are a ton of games added every monthXVision84

If its just a glorified demo like Drive Club, then its certainly NOT worth $60
When I get PSN+, it will be because Sony locked multiplayer behind a paywall.

Drive Club is a very special case because it's a game that releases along with PS Plus, and the PSN edition has most of the content of the game. I'm sure they'll include much more than that come PS4 launch.
I'll also be getting PSN+ because it's mandatory, but hey I don't mind the bonuses that come with it ;).

Both games are six years old yes, but I would argue towards the quality of both titles more so than their age.
Since you brought it up, I am curious about how populated the Halo 3 multiplayer is in 2013.

I have a feeling Sony will just offer indie games a lot, which is cool for people who like that shit but 90% of the time I'm just not interested.
Games like Infamous, they'll probably offer at least a year after it releases, and I'm not waiting a year just to get a game for 'free'. I'll just buy it at launch, so I really don't see me getting any value out of that. Just the online multiplayer.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's really populated. Heck, even games like Warhawk and Unreal Tournament 3 have active communities and they're really really old. I love em both though, Warhawk is the best multiplayer experience I had this gen. I'm sure Halo 3 will have a huge boost in activity after this though.

It's still on your hard drive, you just can't play it until you resubscribe. It's not like it deletes it off once you stop paying.
[QUOTE="bbkkristian"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Gone the instant you stop payingNengo_FlowDo you get them back if you resubscribe? yes. Not only that but some of the games you get are actually free, only the bigger titles are ones that are free as long as your under the subscription. Also the sales you get under the subscription is very good too. Anyone who says that steam is comparable to PSN+ or XBLA isnt catching the differences in the services as it isnt subscription based and also its mostly just a retail to buy your games. Steam is miles better than PS+ but PS+ is a MUCH better deal than XBLA.
