Is it a good time to buy a ps4 pro? Or do you guys think it will get a price cut soon? Or a revised pro will launch?

At this point wait for a price cut. I bought the slim instead of pro and don't regret it one bit. Pro doesn't really offer much value to me at 350 ir 400$
And I was wrong lol

A price cut is always a risk. I'm happy with the Pro, if it doesn't affect your budget too much go for it.

you just saved my life. Definitely getting it. Who do you think is gonna have it for 350 though? Bestbuy? ToysRUs? Target?
@GiveMeSomething: It says throughout U.S., so anywhere they sell game systems as long as they know about the promotion.
The Pro is trash. You'll have instant buyers remorse. If you really want a visual upgrade and you don't mind just playing multiplatform games then the Xbox one x is the better buy.
If not, stick to the regular PS4.
@Bread_or_Decide: wouldnt mind buying an X if I didnt have to pay for online again... since i already paid for psn plus this year very recently
@PCgameruk: you are not getting an fps boost by supersampling down to 1080p. You are only getting an image boost and the system is under the same strain it would be in were it feed a 4k display natively (or 1440p in the pros case).
you're wasting your money. The Pro is useless and provides hardly any noticeable visual upgrades and performance is often worse due to the pseudo 4k.
I'm happy with mine, but I only paid $349 for the $449 bundle. I'm using a 1080p tv still and there is a definite difference, albeit not that big of a deal. I also bought a PSVR, which the Pro helps with. So that's another factor in upgrading.
@Bread_or_Decide: He'd lose all his games if he traded his PS4 for an X. Too bad third party games didn't have crossbuy with each system.

During December you can get an Live Gold subscription for one month for only $1. Then you have a month to find a deal on live. For example it is easy to find 12 months for $40. I found 3 months for $10 and I took it. It cost me $11 to get 4 months. Now i'm looking to get another 12 months for $40.
Anyway, if you really want a massive upgrade in visuals and you already own a 4K TV with HDR, run don't walk to get the X. You can keep the regular PS4 for exclusives if you want. When Red Ded Redemption 2 comes out you will kick yourself if you end up playing it on the Pro instead of the X. Not only that but the new Elder Scrolls, GTA, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 4 and just all big games for the next 3 years will be gimped for you if you have a pro instead of an X.

He can keep both systems. Use the PS4 for exclusives and the X for multiplats.
I was going to get the slim but the Pro was on sale black friday. Came with fifa and the new COD, i play 1080p supersampled id rather take the FPS boost.
?
scratching my head as well.
@Xplode_games: He could, but I think he was talking about upgrading.(Like trading in the PS4 for $100 and paying $250 for the Pro instead of a whooping $500 for the X). If the X played multiplats way better than the Pro, I'd agree with you. However, if you can play the PS4 exclusives(which are awesome on the Pro) plus all the same multiplats at possibly slightly lower resolution/graphics, then I'd probably just go with the Pro. Plus you'd need two subscriptions.(Guess it depends on if your friends are on both or only one system).
I have a original ps4 anyone know any decent deals where I could trade it in for a pro? Also my pc is more capable than than the xbox 1x so don't suggest it zero interest.

So you bought a PRO & PSVR, and yet you claim that the X's $500 price tag is whooping (I know you meant whopping but still funny) LOL.
We already know the difference between most PRO & X versions of games, and you're trying to tell us that there are no games that perform way better on the X?
As for the OP he might as well trade up, even if it's not a major upgrade.
Yeah, I would say go for it. I sold my fat ps4 the week before the "PlayStation neo" announcement because I knew that the resell value would drop after the new model was announced. Well they announced the slim and the pro...not what I was expecting, but I wanted to get the pro...I still haven't gotten around to it yet, but I will sometime early in 2018. I haven't missed having a ps4 because I have a pc, switch, and xb1. As soon as I buy the pro my ps4 library will be active again ;)
@i_p_daily: I bought the psvr first and broke the HDMI input on my PS4, so I bought a Pro to replace it. What I was saying was pretty clear... I don't know how much money he wants to spend, but trading in a PS4 for Pro, while still keeping all your games, is much cheaper than keeping the PS4 and buying an X. If he had the funds, this really wouldn't be a thread on the topic. Not really sure why people ask other people how they should spend their money anyways lol.
Double the hard drive space, almost 3x GPU and better wifi. My PSVR looks noticeably better on it. Definitely worth it. Don’t listen to all these poor suckers in here
what do u mean better wifi

A lot of games that used the PS4 pro also implemented super-sampling for 1080p displays. You get a cleaner image and reduced jaggies, you can enable boost mode in the Pro settings that gives better performance even if the game it pro patch or not.

I get that. I had to read your comment a few times to get what you were trying to say.
