AC: Valhalla getting update requires you to download full game

Supposed to improve performance. They did "data restructuring" this will reduce file size as well on all platforms

I am done with the game for now, no rush to get back to it yet but I still have some DLC to finish.

I bought it at release and found it boring... I liked AC Odyssey and AC Black Flag but this one I found dull .. I think it was the Viking and UK setting that I found unappealing. I also bought Fenyx Immortals Rising at the same time and loved it

@regnaston: I bought it at release and got a return on it as I too thought it was boring, but it was on sale earlier this year and gave it another go and enjoyed it more this time around, got more interesting once I got out of Norway but it's still a slog of a game.

Just to think that one can install this thing on their system makes me🤢Your SSD's don't deserve to be punished like that.

@regnaston: I mean, that's been my experience with half the games I play through the shittacular Windows store, so... want painful? MCC redownloading each time...

Good, more games should do this.

It should also help with load times.

To me not a huge issue as I have a Gigabit connection so usually the games are fairly quick to download. I would not want to have to re-download if I was 100Mbits or under

Sounds cool, I just got back into the game this past week and got the season pass (I had only completed the main game). So this update sounds like it'll smooth things up.

There are games i dont play regularly because theyre not worth the space

I love PC Game Pass because of the games, but my god you'd think the people that make your operating system would have a better system in place for downloading games.

Halo Infinite I had to launch it to trick it into downloading the campaign, then it made me download it in-game (which taxes my system I could hear my GPU fans spinning), so I'm like "I'll do this later" and then I exit and I see I don't need it launched to download lol. Then I have to restart my computer to "Reset" it or something just to get the update thing to go away. Then I have to launch Windows app store and go the downloads section to download the Game Pass update because updating Game Pass via the Game Pass app doesn't work for some reason.

Almost not worth the effort. Almost.

*Oh yeah and I couldn't install MSFS 2020 on my game drive, I had to install it on the [very small] drive my OS is installed on. I'm guessing for DRM reasons?
