That's pretty illogical considering that the PS3 has sold over 6x as much as the 360 has in Japan.... not to mention the enormous difference in PSP sales. It's statistically impossible for people to play their 360 more than either of those consoles.
Oh , that is just Famitsu readers who participated in a poll.:| I guess this is what we get when the fanboys look extremely hard for any little glimmer of something positive. I bet you will be harping that more Japanese people are playing the 360 than they are ps3 and psp this week. :lol:
Thats only like 750 people surveyed.. I dont feel like doing the math to get the exact number. Yet there are 300,000 360 owners , 600,000 PS3 owners , and millions of PS2 , DS, and PSP owners in Japan. Not EVERYONE in japan took this survey. That does not mean that 360 is gettin played more than PS3 and vice versa.

Meh, I'm not searching for glimmers. Pretty hard to see them when the shining awesomeness from Mass Effect and Gears is making it hard to spot them. :P

Wrong. People could be buying the consoles but not actually playing them.
Then again, I don't find those numbers to be useful at all. The number of answers (the top scorer was 244) is hardly statistically significant, and any small bias in the study would affect it wildly. The study only proves that a 360 gamer is more likely to send an answer than a Playstation gamer.
It's a fun little factoid, to be sure, but is completely meaningless.
The Wii has more people playing it then the DS even though the DS has over 14 million more sold? The PS2 is about even with the 360 even though it has 23.8 million more sold? Not exactly a believable poll.
They said more people spend time on the 360. Which could mean that the like what 10 people? who own the 360 plays a heck fo a lot. Where as the DS owners, occasionaly play it, plus if it has sold 15 million, its mostly just for looks not for use, like an IPOD.

if the hardcore are leaning towards the 360, you know the ps3 is in trouble..

not to mention the fact the survey asked what was the most played over the holiday season....wasn't there a big rpg released around then for teh 360 yet it still came 4th.

If the 15 million DS owners played their DS for an average of 10 minutes a week and the 360 owners played for an average of 7 hours a week then the DS would still be played more. Most people who get an Ipod for looks still listen to music on it. What else can people do with a DS besideds play games?
