The latest Official Xbox Mag has a whopping great preview of Ace Combat 6 for the 360, and also the not-very-unexpected-at-all-really news that it's exclusive for the 360. Well...it's a timed exclusive. I'm of the opinion that a timed exclusive isn't really an exclusive at all, but then I'm also of the opinion a man can wear sandals and socks if the weather permits, so make of that what you will.

I have no problem with the 360 getting this game but the timed exclusivity does kinda rub me the wrong way because the playstatiuon brand has been the beginning of the series and the series fanbase has grown on the playstation brand . It only makes sense profit wise for namco to bring it to both but the timed exclsuive part kinda sucks, all I have to say is they should throw in some extra content for the PS fans if they are going to make them wait for it seeing as they are the ones who have bought the series traditionally. Yea it can Rub you the wrong way, but if we look at it for what it is. This is really Sonys fault that they are not keeping exclusives.

Im not even sure about the whole time exclusive thing on the xbox, but I can see it from a point of view that there are more 360's out and games do tend to sell very well for some reason with the high attach rate for games per console. But it still does not explain a timed exclusive. So it can be one of three things.

1) MS bought the timed exclusive.

2)The devs are having a hard time with the PS3.

3) The Devs want to make a better version for the PS3.

Also since your a Ace Combat fan. Which countries does this game sell well in. That could also shed some light on this.

You are right almost every games franchise starts with the Playstation brand ..All i know that xboxfanboys should be happy their getting some of our games.. I am not suprise that its time exclusive and im sure they are planning to use the motion sensing in the PS3 version..Most likely they will throw some extra content to get our attention.

I hope the PS3 version has waggle support.

There was a few but now that they heard the news that its time exclusive ..They dont reallly care about this game anymore..
