yes getting acheivements for games on the 360 is better than getting trophies for ps3. ever since the 360 had this feature when games first came out, i've been playing them longer than i anticipated for. the trophies on the other hand came too little too late, and there's not enough games that have it, especially mgs4 and gta iv dammit.
