I think games like DJ Hero, and Tony Hawk Ride are showing us that Bobby Kotick's business model sucks. Building on existing ideas, and franchises usually results in more sales, but only for so long, then things just go downhill.

Not surprising. The game looked awful! Even when Alex Navarro was previewing it, he didnt sound optimistic about the game.

Just remembering the THPS PS1 games makes me think what the hell has happened to this once great franchise.

...which is more IW than activision. Other than pay the bills and advertise and take 95% of the profits, activision doesn't have any part in developing MW.

No, activision is not a developer. I'm sure they have creative notes like not giving the PC version of MW2 dedicated servers, but IW is the one who makes the game, not activision. Activision just funds the project, advertises the game, and takes their cut of the profits (which is the industry average of 95% for publishers).

I demoed it at Best Buy and it was pretty bad. I think this is Activision having to many games in development for this year. I mean why do we need Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and GH Van Halen all this christmas. Then dump this poorly made game on the public. Honestly did neversoft even work on this? Only upside would be if Skate 3 will be allowed to use the board in there game.
