Activision: PlayStation 3 Will Outsell Xbox 360

By the end of the current calendar year, Activision believes the consoles will sell:

• PlayStation 3: 8 million units
• Xbox 360: 6-7 million units
• Wii: 15 million units
• PlayStation 2: 4-5 million units

i know its really not news because the 360 has never outsold the PS3 on a yearly chart anyways, so yah back to the usual

Well you can't just pull a number out of your butt and say "might be exagerating a little". We all know more than 2/3s of ps3 owners play games on it.

I might be exaggerating a bit but the 99% of 360 owners have experianced RROD :D Lemmings, does that sound right to you?

Where did you get your 2nd assumption from?

If history could tell us anything is that EA are the WORST ps3 endorcers and porters in the business.

Just take a look at Orange Box, N4S,Madden,Blacksite 51 - All without an exception are pure garbage ports.

I believe he is referring to year sales not total sales. I'm not sure how much the wii has sold total but I'm think what Activision has posted is a pretty good estimate for total year sales for the wii seeing as the wii doesn't really have any good games coming out in the fall. If it does I have not heard about them.

I looked at wii's upcoming games and I say you have 3 decent titles coming out in the fall which is more than I thought you had but I don't know if it will increase sales like some people think. I saw star wars lightsaber game (good idea but who knows how good the game will be), Animal crossing, and the new tales game.

Xbox 360 will outsell the PS3 in overall sales by the end of the generation - why? Because I would expect within a year, a new Xbox will be announced. And, just before the PS3 outsells the Xbox 360 - Microsoft will release the next generation system - in which they would declare the Xbox 360 victor over the PS3 since that generation is over (between X360 and PS3).Stevo_the_gamer

If a new Xbox comes out so will a new PS and then a new Nintendo when people figure out that the Wii sucks for games just like a bunch of other Nintendo consoles
