Activision Registers New Call of Duty Website Domains

"Activision's registered several Call of Duty website domains that possibly hint at where the series is heading next.

The company created domains for Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Advanced Warfare and Secret Warfare, as well as Space Warfare (thanks, superannuation).

It seems futuristic combat is the new black, and ultra-nationalist Russian extremists shooting up airports are so last year.

For now, Activision has three teams working on new additions to the series, starting with Treyarch, who are currently working on Call of Duty: Black Ops for a November 9 release.

Upstart Sledgehammer Games are also working on an action-adventure title that will, according to Acti COO Thomas Tippl, "broaden the audience" for the IP.

Finally, Tippl confirmed last week during Activision's Q1 financials that Infinity Ward, despite its recent troubles, are working on a game in the series, with more details later this year. That project is thought to be Modern Warfare 3."

Well, that certainly is an awful lot of 'Warfare.' I would laugh my ass off if Bungie's next game ended up being Call of Duty: Future Warfare, lol. I know it's not because they have been working on it for so long, but with that many titles, it makes you wonder who all is developing them. Surely it is not just Treyarch and Sledgehammer. You never know, they could decide to call it that, lol.

I really do not understand the anger towards CoD on here. I honestly do not even think most know why they hate them they just feel they are supposed to. Oh well while on system wars people will talk about how much they hate COD the next one will sell at least 8 million and even World at War for example had amazing sales.

Yes, I know it is not going to be Bungie, lol. I was just being a bit sarcastic due to the recent acquisition and all. Still, too many cooks ruins the stew. What is next, COD action figures, a cartoon, a movie, and cereal?

they were doing fine from the time of big red one to the first modern warfare after that i really dont know. last i checked though COD games used to be a great game to enjoy.
