Actual serious Playstation 3 games thread

I don't want any mention of Heavenly Sword, Killzone, Folklore, Warhawk, Home, Lair, etc. This is a serious thread where we discuss games on the Playstation 3 that are actually worth hyping. Lets work together to fill in this hole that the Cows have dug themselves.

I will start by compiling a serious Playstation 3 hype-worthy games list.

1. Bluray movie player
2. Final Fantasy XIII (2009)
3. God of War 3 (First Party so guaranteed exclusive no matter what)
4. Metal Gear Solid 4 (2008!)
5. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (2007!!)
6. Heavy Rain (possibly also on the PC, but worth a mention)
7. LittleBigPlanet
8. SOCOM: Confrontation
9. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
10. Multiplatform Xbox360 Games

What do you think? Can this list be taken seriously? I think it's a lot better than the hype lists Cows have been making for themselves.

There are first person shooters that are worth hyping, and then there is Killzone.

Lets see Ill be getting Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Uncharted, and a couple of multiplats this year.....

Who said anything about those games? Why must fanboys jump to conclusions as if they actually know something.

Since your in the mood to make "serious" game threads for consoles, would you mind putting up one for the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii?

I think you should take out SOCOM: Confrontation though -- Zipper Inc. aren't even making it and it really does look rubbish compared to the previous SOCOM games. You should replace it with another PS3 exclusive worth hyping eg. L.A. Noire from Team Bondi/Rockstar Games, or White Knight Story from Level-5.

I agree actually. I didn't know that the previous devs wheren't making the new SOCOM. White Knight Story actually does look good.

Confrontation is being made by "Slant Six Games", who's track-record includes the average SOCOM: Tactical Strike and the graphics engine for Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, both of which are for the PSP. Zipper Inc. are currently working on a new franchise. There are job listings for a PS3 project.

Don't forget the new team ICO game, and the new Jak game, Tekken 6, Gran Turismo 5, and the new twisted metal game, and also the REAL Socom game. The Socom game you listed is going to be the one you download I think. The Zipper game is going to be the REAL SOCOM game, and that is the one cows should be hyping.

I agree with this thread though, my fellow cows seem to be hyping the wrong games sometimes. Istill think HS, LAIR, Warhawk and HOME will be cool though.

Killzone 2 and folklore are just not worthy of hype at this point, luckily, folklore isn't really being hyped by many cows like Killzone 2 is.

And LA Noire, and the new Rockstar IP too.

Really sorry Lilac but Blu-ray movie player is not a game. :)

Hot shots golf 5 and LittleBigPlanetI didnt see it mentioned and lets not forget all the multiplatformers.
