So far the only way to go for me is the PC because it´s pretty much the one I know what to expect from and has the majority of games I´m interested in,the PS4 may be a possibility, mostly if those Shenmue 3 rumors are true, wich they most likely aren´t.
The new xbox is very unlikely to ever interest me at all and the WiiU is completely out of the question.
Long time PC gamer, and I agree, Sony Consoles are always best when paired with PC since they offer the most exclusives and from everything I heard and seen in regards to PS4, it seems to be the best of the 3 consoles to get next gen.
I'm going with both a PS4 and a Nextbox WITH a high end PC. clyde46
I dunno man, if it's anything like this past gen, there's going to be way too much overlap between Sony and Microsoft, and now that Sony is going PC Architecture route like Microsoft, the line is going to be blurred even more.
Unless Microsoft really impresses at E3, I'm looking to go the PC/PS4 route this gen (with a 3DS on the side.)

I was going to get a 3DS but the thumbstick is so annoying!lol no , i say the best combo is a wii u , pc a handheld -3ds preferably and ps4 , , youll get the entire spectrum well 90 percent of it ,
wiiu offers mario and other first class nintendo ip's and an innovative new controller,
ps4 offers sonys first party and good third party ,
handhelds always get the best rpgs and other sorts of gaming not on console anymore like 2d games and quick and fun puzzle games,
now if you want the other 10 percent vita and 720 should be added ,
ill admit pc does have a few mmos and rts that ps3/ps4 dosnt have
if you care about those kinds of games

I was going to get a 3DS but the thumbstick is so annoying! I've also been on the fence about the Vita. I'm waiting to see how Sony delivers with the PS4 compatibility at E3.There's another thread with a poll. I think System wars already voted for PC+PS4 as the best way to go..

Why so you don't miss out on the two Playstation exclusives worth playing? Seems silly. AAllxxjjnnHahaha repeat that to yourself with a straight face.

It's pretty much a fact that PC + a Sony console is the way to go.BPoole96It's pretty much a fact that if you spend over $1000 to play games every gen you're a nerd.

Just as nerdy as trolling on a video game forum where we all discuss why our platform of choice is the best. At least I acknowledge that I'm a nerd rather than living in denial and thinking that I'm better than everyone else on this board.

PC + handhelds

Either Tales of Xillia, a jrpg for PS3 this year or Fate/Zero (it's on a rotator).

It's pretty much a fact if you go on video game boards calling other people nerds then you're being dishonest with yourself.

Zing! For a TRUE GAMER the best way to go is XBox 720 + PS4 + Wii U+ PC + 3DS + PSVita. With this set up, there's no way you lose. lol!! I've been a winner since PONG was released.yup, PS3/4 + PC = the one two punch!

Thank you Microsoft, Nintendo & Sony.
Thank you all 8000+ developers who will be making great games for all these platforms.

There is no way you can keep up with all the games if you own all the platforms. It's just impossible unless you literally do nothing besides play games. I barely had enough free time just to handle the PC/PS3 libraries. Throw on every other platform and I'm just pissing money in the wind.[QUOTE="blackace"]For a TRUE GAMER the best way to go is XBox 720 + PS4 + Wii U+ PC + 3DS + PSVita. I only play a couple games on PC and will play multiplats on only one of the consoles. Everything else I'll just play any exclusives that are worth playing. I'm not going to play every single game. Just the ones that I like and are worth playing. I have almost nothing but exclusives on the PS3 and only the good ones. Same with the Wii.Naw.... PC would do the multiplats better than the PS4. PC/Wii U is the way to go. That way you get the best multiplats and the clear cut best exclusives as well.
Pikminmaniac
Nope Mario, Pokemon and Zelda don't appeal to every one.

I tried the multi console setup before and I ended up not having time to consistently play both. Add that plus work/school and family/friends and I don't see how people find the time to play so many different platforms.
If you don't play games on PC (like most people) the 720 will probably be the best overall console like the 360 was this gen I'm guessing.Miketheman83

You and I may not like all of those games, but they were all well received for the most part. Of course the last two have not been released yet.

I agree too. People who have time to game a lot on all platforms must not be doing anything else with their lives.
