...it finally crapped out on me.

Tried playing Call of Duty 4 earlier when I got this instead. I'll need to send the machine back to the shop for repairs and probably get a new console back, but that's not the point of this topic.

Should I get another console? At this point in time, I've only been a Nitendo DS / Xbox 360 / PC gamer and don't have the Wii or a PS3. Should I sell my refurbished 360 when I get it back (however long that may be) for a new console, or should I stick with it for now?

Keep in mind, however, that I still have about 11 months on my Xbox Live gold account and I got 9 Xbox 360 games as well. If I do return it and get a new Xbox 360, however, I might be walking into another RRoD again.

Thoughts?

The MGS4 bundle would be a rather astute choice I think :)

Honestly, I would keep the 360 and save up for the other two. But that is just me.

As long as your choice lets you have access to Resident Evil 5 and Soul Calibur 4 when they come out, I can't say that you'd make a wrong choice.

Chances are, I'll be either buying a 360 or a PS3 since many Wii titles don't interest me.

Just kind of wondering what people here think I should do.

I also should make it known that many of my friends have an Xbox 360 as well and play online daily with me, so getting a PS3 may isolate me from my friends. A PS3, however, doesn't have any major hardware issues and has got a lot of good upcoming games on it's side.

your friends are more important. at least, if they're good friends. if that's the case, then you may want ot stick with it.

I would get a PS3, if for no other game, MGS4. I'm not suggesting you sell your 360, but you need to get a PS3.

When I got the RROD, I didnt sell my 360 but I saved up for a PS3. I dont regret it, at all.

TC, Just keep the 360. Your probably going to get ripped off when you sell it and you would have to put a good $100-$200 in just to get the PS3. But its up to you.

You should keep the Xbox. Now a PS3 is the better console, but you have invested a lot of money in the 360 and you wouldn't get anywhere near as much back as you've put in. So keep the Xbox and enjoy it :D!

Just wait for the 360 to comeback. There is no reason to go and buy another console.

I think we should leave system wars for a week and let the cows have their fun. No one is making any sense in this thread

That answers the question IMO playing w/ friends makes for endless enjoyment. Keep the 360 when it comes back and save up for a ps3. Also even with selling your games you will probably not get alot of $.

If you live with your parents just tell them that you are saving for a ps3 and they may buy one come christmas or your b-day. Also get a job or do mini-jobs. Don't beg, instead devote yourself to your cause.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I'll end up keeping my returned 360 and I'll probably save up for a PS3.

Keep the 360! Lol also I like how you proved you had the Red Rings. I didn't think people would be hard to convince about that.

No don't sell your 360, you would regret it. Though you should look into getting the other consoles especially since the PS3 is starting to get its library together.

Keep it of course. It wouldn't even be worth it to sell, especially with all the games and XBL membership that you have. And if the one you had lasted 2 years then i think the ones that are out now will hopefully last even longer.
