After 2011, Crysis 2 rises as the NEW graphics king

With the texture pack and added DX11 is Crysis 2 the graphics king. BF3 looks great, but has a lot of brown and bloom and some real shotty textures.

The Witcher 2 also gets honorable mention, but it has so much bloom and is in ancient DX9.

Thoughts?

Even Batman:AC on PC looks better than that, and that's a multiplat game.

Those Batman games are very underrated when it comes to their graphics. Too bad the DX11 doesn't work well for Arkham City now.

I agree. Crysis 2 was a very beautiful game.

EDIT: Man, it feels weird saying something positive about this game. :P

Crysis 2 looks good, very good, but Battlefield 3 takes the crown.

I neglected Doom 3 after BF2 came out. I'm surprised how good it still looks when maxed out.

Why is the guy so big and the head so small?

Uncharted 3 and Gears of War 3 are both good looking games, but they are held back by the console limitations 720p @30 fps.

Crysis 2 is underrated cuz its multiplat and many PC elitists felt betrayed. You can just look at Crysis 2 deals with idiots saying "I won't play it even if it's .99 cents."

I thought so too about the foliage. Then I remembered from a visit that much of the foliage in downtown NYC are scraggly looking. NYC too as a whole is bland-looking with all the skyscrapers around.

Well for me, I have BF3, Crysis 2 (on PC and PS3), The Witcher 2 and Batman AC and I honestly cant decide which one I think looks the best. I play them all fully maxed out and lets be honest, Crysis 2 with DX11 and texture pack looks stunning, but then so do the other games. My jaw has dropped with all of these games... Not that I'm complaining.

Hey consolites, do you know how you can tell if a console game screen shot is a bull-shot? The lack of jaggies and texture fail (because of low rez textures and no AF) kind of gives it away.
