Don't know if this is against the rules but I'm gonna bump my own thread right back to page 1. :twisted:

I played Pokemon Red just last year and I would say that that game definately stood the test of time. If a gamer like myself, who is not all that old in video game terms, actually plays a 1998 cl@$$!c in 2011 and considers it one fo the finest RPGs ever created then you know it has stood up against the test of time. :cool:

I played it again recently and thought it wasn't very good. There's way too many trainers, the game is super easy. There's issues with the pokemon's stats as well. For instance, Gyrados is awful because all water moves are special in that game. That alone makes it hard to go back to games before generation 4.

Well it was my first Pokemon game, really, so that might have affected it. Still, it still stands against the test of time for me, which I am happy about. :)

Metroid games, especial Prime 1 and Super Metroid. They level design and gameplay of Super Metroid is still top notch today.
