After beating Uncharted 4, does anyone else think Sony/NaughtyDog should.......

Bring back Eight Days, and have Naughty Dog develop it?

Back when this game was hyped and first shown, it was marketed exactly like Sony/NaughtyDog has always marketed the Uncharted games. This game basically WAS Uncharted before Uncharted was Uncharted.

It was hyped as a "Cinematic experience" using the same performance capture that Naughty Dog went on to be praised for. It had real actors (Ving Rhames), It was hyped for its "dynamic" third person shooting and groundbreaking animations and performance capture(for the time), cinematic setpiece moments, "like a movie" etc.....all of the same language and buzzwords you've all heard associated with every uncharted game, you get it, etc......

Point is, after finishing Uncharted 4 (beat it day one in 13 hours 25 minutes, currently halfway through crushing playthrough) does anyone else think that Eight Days would be awesome as hell to be developed by Naughty Dog, and modernized to PS4? That game basically is "Naughty Dog: The Game".

No their talents should be spent elsewhere and they especially know that, I want to see more than triangle to push, X to climb and O to cover.

Not a bad idea, something similar anyways. I really want more games like UC4 and TLOU, with great action sequences, acting, attention to details, and story. Maybe they can do a pure action Max Payne/Die Hard type of game with they're own character?

I actually want a TLOU 2, with a different set of characters, i wouldn't mind a spinoff either, if they did it right.

There's reasons they delayed then canceled that game, so they should just leave it dead. I'm guessing ND are now working on patching U4 to look and run the best on the NeO. I don't think they can make their multiplayer any better so support for that will be slim to none. So besides the U4 NeO patch I'm guessing they're working on TLoU2.

That would be a good idea, but really, no matter what they decide to make I'm buying it.

Naughty Dog should make whatever is they want to create. The masses didn't know they would want a Crash, Jak, Uncharted, or The Last of Us game until after ND created them. Jak 4 became Uncharted 1 for instance (I have a making of DVD), and back then I was disappointed they wouldn't be creating a new Jak, I was still interested to see their new IP. ND have been afforded that creative freedom.

I am interested in what ideas ND come up with, and I'm not interested in outside concepts/IPs being thrust on them from suits/fans/gamers/outsiders. If they want to create a whole new IP (what they have always done), regurgitate some other studios IP, or create a sequel to one of their IPs, I'm down. In ND I trust.

That said, if ND said they sincerely and passionately wanted wanted (for some reason) to work on another studios old IP like Sony's Computer Entertainment London Studio's Eight Days, then I'd be down although this will never happen. Basically, I'm interested in what ND is interested in making.

I'm not interested in dictating to ND what I want or what others want them to do or not to do.

I'm sure though the super highly anticipated The Last of Us 2 (so many different stories can be told in that universe) is probably ND's next project, unless the AAA talented ND team was recently inspired to go a different direction after U4.

I follow talented developers, not franchises or brands.

How about have Rockstar just make Max Payne 4?

Hell no. I want TLOU2 and when they're done with that, make a new franchise that has nothing to do with zombies but as brutal as TLOU. I'd like to see something sci fi from them.

I would rather they bring back Crash team racing and also port it to PC and stop doing these playstation exclusives. Uncharted 4 was amazing!! I bet they just go to Last of us 2 next though. That's where the money is.

Naughty Dog are a Sony owned studio which is why they make Playstation exclusives. They are one of the 1st party Sony studios that people buy Playstation systems for. I am guessing based on your statement you own a PS4 because you already considered the new Uncharted 4 amazing. If that game was a PC game, perhaps you wouldn't have even bought a PS4, which is the opposite of Sony's goals.

Also, Crash is now in Activision's hands, not Sony's. So Sony's Naughty Dog won't be touching CTR unless Sony works out a deal with Activision to own the Crash IP.

Hell no. Just make The Last of Us 2 so we can all sleep happy that game will get yet another 10/10.

I would like to see them do what they want. Hoping that's TLOU 2. But they seem pretty good at doing their own thing and I'd continue letting them.

Bring back Socom Naughty Dog.

They should remake Ski Crazed.

I want to see a Star Wars game (like KoToR) done by ND in the style of TLoU or Uncharted, following a Jedi from youth through training to apprentice and eventually master. Given their talent for competent writing and character development and presentation, it could be mind blowing. I want to play a Star Wars film, and no better studio than ND to take on the project. Either that, or Blade Runner.

They should make a new Jak and Daxter trilogy.

Well.... I think they should make another 3D platforming game. As much as I wanted to like Uncharted and TLoU, the gameplay was just too boring.

They should make Way of the Warrior 2. :P

Nope, why would you want your best develop working on a game you had no faith in which is why you cancelled it? Makes no sense.

No, I want to see something completely different from Naughty Dog next time. That was my only complaint with TLoU, yes it was amazing, and vastly better than any of the UC series, but it's gameplay was very simlar a lot of the time. I want something fresh again with their next game, I don't want to feel like I'm playing Uncharted 5.

The only other thing I'd be OK with is a Crash reboot because it's been such a long time since ND made a platformer.

Well said. I think you and I are in the minority on TLOU 2. I see it like E.T. the movie. A great piece of work that should be left alone as Spielberg made sure of with his film. This is an incredibly talented studio that can make a great new IP, so I say do it.

I finished it early this morning and it is along with Uncharted 2, ND's finest work imo. I also felt that way.

They should do what they want but I would like to see them do another genre given the funding they get.

I'd like to see their take on big rigs racing.

TLOU gameplay did get weak as the game progress. Didn't help walking around with that annoying Ellie.

That first video is awful.

I want to them to do either a new IP or Last of US 2.....really hope it's a new IP.

I say leave Last of Us alone.
