After crysis 2, is it possible for the 360 to run uncharted and killzone?

Killzone 2 is not even using HDR i.e. not integer nor floating point version.

Perhaps Crysis 2 should use compute saving methods like pre-baked/static sun shadows (bias towards artwork), lack of HDR and image based AA (e.g. MLAA)... Let's remove "100 precent real time" from Crysis 2..

Don't believe everything a developer says. If Capcom can port Resident Evil 4 from GameCube to PS2, systems with a much bigger gap in power than the 360 and PS3, everything is possible.

People should reconsider their story if Uncharted can run on the 360 or not, Since Uncharted 2 is a pretty Heavy based SPU game, I wouldnt expect Xbox 360 to pull off something like that..

It suprises me the mentallity the most people have, Once there is a Multiplat game that looks great and awesome, it now suddently means that Xbox 360 and PS3 are strong alike? :/

God!, stay away from gamedevelopment if you do not have the knowledge to know how coding works, and especially in a Game Engine like CryEngine 3 that works totally different from the Game Engine's thats been exlusively made for Ps3 games.

Its all about the possibillities of its game engine thats using the hardware properly with orwithout any sacrifices..

DICE's Frostbite 2.0 PS3 has 'deferred rendering' on STI SPUs, while Xbox 360 version has 'deferred rendering' on AMD Xenos GpGPU. NVIDIA RSX's sustained 32bit FP performance is an issue.

It could run it, but as good? I don't know. The steady framerate with those visuals in UC2 is really remarkable on consoles. Crysis 2 looks good, but it's not exactly steady in it's framerate.

The CryEngine 3 is a really good multiplat engine though, that actually rivals the engines in most of Sony's exclusives on the PS3 hardware.

I love how 2x MSAA is "crazy". Asides from having no AA, it's the bare minimum.

AMD/NV DX10 and AMD Xenos GPUs has hardware 3DC+ texture compression format support i.e. reduce VRAM bandwidth.

There's little doubt that the Xbox 360 is the cleaner, crisper experience and for the most part it commands a small
but significant frame-rate advantage and fewer little glitches; especially outside of combat scenarios,

I haven't heard or seen any official comparison between KZ3 and Crysis 2 from DF or LOT. I've only seen the KZ2 vs Crysis 2 graphics comparison from LOT and look how that turned out...

The funny thing is how the heck is MGS4 going to be in 720p for the 360 if it can't even run Alan Wake half way above it...??

However, there's the nagging feeling that a few more months in development could perhaps have ironed out the issues both versions of the game have."

Crytek probably run out of time.Hopefully, other content developers can use CryEngine 3 and deliver polished games.

Can't say as Crysis 2 (and this is on both consoles to be fair) suffers from enough technical issues to make it effectively null in the impressive category. I have jpegs on my ps3 that look better than any game out there, but those are still shots. A game that runs like poo is not in the same league as a game that runs flawlessly.

They should have really delayed that game for a couple of months to either:

a) work out the kinks to get it running smooth or

b) lower the graphics settings enough to make it run smooth

As it is, with pop-in galore and a less than stellar framerate, it's not at the top... not even close.

Noone will use Crysis 2 engine better than Crytek themselves in Codename Kingdoms, that will look far better than crysis 2

Around 80% of my gaming is on PC, but I do own a 360 and PS3 for some of the exclusives. I never really got the feeling that one was really all that different from the other. They seemed pretty similar to me. If anything the 360 seemed to outmatch the PS3 most of the time. Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3 are examples of some great art direction combined with some clever programming, but Crysis 2 and Gears 3 look just as good to me and I am sure Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3 would look just as good on the 360 if Naughty Dog or Guerrilla were ever to work on the 360.

People should reconsider their story if Uncharted can run on the 360 or not, Since Uncharted 2 is a pretty Heavy based SPU game, I wouldnt expect Xbox 360 to pull off something like that..

God!, stay away from gamedevelopment if you do not have the knowledge to know how coding works, and especially in a Game Engine like CryEngine 3 that works totally different from the Game Engine's thats been exlusively made for Ps3 games.

Its all about the possibillities of its game engine thats using the hardware properly with orwithout any sacrifices..

People just overrated the PS3 hardware, for a console it's the best, but in reality it sucks, the GPU and RAM hold it back, I would even say the Cell isn't that great either. Because of this, 360 is pretty similar to the PS3 while doing worse than it in some areas, just it lacks devs that push the system.

Given the right developer, the right optimization and a decent amount of time for polish, I'm sure Uncharted 2 and both Killzones could run on the Xbox 360 just as well as their PS3 counterparts.

Crysis 2 isnt inconsistant at GT5 levels :? Other than some pop ups everything looks fantastic.

Again, it´s not as consistant as Uncharted 2 but it´s best moments top everything else on a console. Those moments are proof enough that 360 could handle any PS3 exclusive with no problem.

Still wondering how Crysis 2 is the best looking game on consoles.... The game is filled with TERRIBLE textures throughout the entire game. You don't even have to go that far to look for them, they're basically right in front of you the whole game.

PC might obviously be a different story (haven't played PC version yet), but I honestly think people are way too hypnotised by the cool light effects to really see the graphics for what they are... :?

Every review says Crysis 2 is by far the best looking console game and runs and looks far better on 360

Also i am sure 360 would run MGS4 in true 720p and Uncharted 1-2 would have far bigger levels, like Alan Wake

In any case, Codename Kingdoms will look far better than Crysis 2 and will be the best looking game ever

Gears 3 is living proof that the 360 could run uncharted and killzone. Hell it's proof that it surpasses them both as well.
