i thought that the campaign is pretty alright right through floodgate. but after that level, the campaign seriously dropped in quality. bad storytelling, brutes werent nearly as fun as killing elites, and the ending sequence of the game was much like the first game, only not nearly as well done.

still though, game is worth buying just for multiplayer

It's not average like ResistanceFFXIII360

i though resistance was pretty fun, actually. interesting guns. unique story (the way its set in the 50's) and varied enemies. resistnace also has a solid multiplayer

Agreed, I love everything except how the campaign fares when compared to Halo CE, but did someone HONESTLY say that in a video game forum (your sig)??

i think that halo 2 and more so 3 had the best GAMEPLAY, but the first halo had MUCH better storytelling. i don't think i need to point out how.

Yea, Halo 3 really is great. One of the best games this gen easily.

If there were 1 game I'd give a 10 to this gen it'd be Halo 3. Underrated here I think (by the community- 9.5 is the highest any game should get no matter what)

It is pretty much the perfect fps basically. You just have to get a grip of it (at first it feels weird but eventually it feels like you have complete control over everything your character does including, somehow, platforming)

You know what? I was really disappointed with Resistance. I didn't have a PS3 when it launched, so all I heard was how impressive the game was, and I liked the idea of the guns, and the setting seemed cool enough. Then I bought a PS3 a year later, picked up the game, and...It was just kind of repetitive and boring. It had some cool ideas, but it was just a little bland overall, I thought.

As to Halo, while I didn't like Halo 3's campaign as much as the original, it was much better than the second game. Halo has always been about epic fights and big, mountainous landscapes, and this one was no different. The soundtrack was excellent as usual (pretty uncommon for an FPS, in my opinion), and the end was actually fairly poignant, even on Legendary. I don't think it's the greatest game or series of all time, but it's definitely one of the more interesting universes, and one of the better FPSs out there. And the multiplayer is top notch, without a doubt.

For me, Halo is just a big "meh"

It dosent do anything in any area that well..MP is just a melee and spray fest and the SP i never really cared about so yeah...i ended up selling the game next week because i couldent stand having that thing in my house anymore..which is the same reason i ended up selling CoD4 on the 360 as well..the SP was good but the challange of MP let it down for me...(IMO it was just a spray and pray fest)

Halo IMO is not as good as people make it out to be..the hype for the game dident show any proof in the game for me..it was just another shooter, thats all, while people can like the game its just not my cup of tea..i just dont see whats so great about it

Halo 3 is excellent. I don't know why its been targeted as THE game to hate on this generation, but as someone who owns every system, Halo 3 is easily among the top games of the generation so far. I still think that Halo 3 is the most polished console game to be released this generation.lockjaw333
