I think it does, that is why DMC4 does not look as 3D as LP enemies, and as huge, with smaller levels and more blocky stuff around, and vastly less enemies, effects around too

I hope RE5 is made with 360 in mind, and not get watered down vastly to make it run as good on PS3

Hey, am I hallucinating or did you make an entire post without mentioning Fable 2 once?

On topic, no, its just a shoddy port by Capcom.

Sure, as long as you admit 360 is holding back PC multiplats.

I think we are going to see more devs making games for the PS3 then porting them to the X360. Porting from the PS3 seems to be alot easier and the end result is almost identical games.

Nahhh, problem was the game, its was already boring before and it remained the same... Also having a PS3 am not interested in getting old ports...

Others (COD4, DMC4, Burnout, Fifa08) are proof multiplats when done with attention and hard work turn out great on all systems..

Yes, just ask Burnout and DMC4.Chutebox

Yeah they play and look better on Xbox

Just because a site ses they think they play better on PS3 means nothing, especially if the sight makes a point of being incorrect and biased eg.Burnout has a better PS3 interface, when there exactly the same, although Dmc has an install and plays the same on both,OS3 is better cuz......the controller

On-Topic,no PS3 is holding nothing back, devs just cant use it well yet,PS4 will go back to traditional archetecture

A site, as in singular? I think you need to look around more. Only thing biased here is your posts.

Also, I never said either of them played or looked better on Ps3, you jumped the gun and assumed that.

Also, lol at the bolded.

Yes, same, that is why it got 5/10 in graphics, when 360 got 9/10, right ?

Consider the time of each release please...

Consider what ? I did not see Oblivion getting worst in score when it was release a YEAR after on PS3, right ?

Also read below, it is a bit MORE than just the timing

Maybe DMC shadows look so bad, because they had to fit it on PS3, i now sure, because LO shadows are AMAZING

The other issue is the insane amount of slowdown and frame rate drop. By now, since the game has been released on two different systems, you'd expect slowdown issues to be kept to a minimum, if it occurs at all. Not the case -- Lost Planet seems to crawl if you get more than five enemies on screen at once, and considering that the game frequently swarms you with Akrid monsters, this doesn't work well at all. The longest one that I noticed was close to 30 seconds in the middle of a battle, as I was facing off against Akrid and Nevec soldiers at the same time. That's pretty bad.

That brings me to another problem however, which is that the game doesn't look good, especially if you've seen it on other systems. Compared to the 360 version and the PC, everything on the PS3 version looks like its run through a gauzy, pixilated filter. Instead of finely detailed textures, many of the game environments have blocky, rough textures and heavily aliased edges.Instead of fine particles for smoke or snow, the particle system is harsh and weakly defined. Character models look somewhat out of focus or blocky, especially when you are running through battlefields. It doesn't feel as though the game takes advantage of the PS3 at all.

The ground textures look extremely basic, the water demonstrates little to no physics whatsoever with bland texture work as well, and the game arenas don't look good either. What's more, online gameplay suffers from framerate drops with as few as two players in a battle.

I hope for christ, they do not make RE5 a downgraded version than it could be, just to make it run well on PS3

consider the fact they pointed out the graphic differeces between the two versions,PS3 has no Anti alising, and looks blocky,Xbox has sharper cleaner images,

The fact that they have been out for a year oes not mean they look bas, especially since its one of the best looking games to date(xbox,PC)

I didn't read all the crap you wrote. The difference between Oblivon and LP is Oblivon was actually approved upon between the releases. LP, if anything, was downgraded because of a lousy port. That is the difference.

Saolin,u are terribly biased, when it comes to Xbox vs PS3

Anything one can do the other can do,if the devs are skilled enough

take Uncharted for instance, the devs have made away to make it look better then it is using various techniques,to overcome RAM limitations

What maked them more qualifies then anyone else?

Ive had both version of Burnout, and what they said about the intergration and interface,is a blatent lie,

Then they said COD4 uses only dedicated servers,it dosent, both version use some dedicated servers and most p2p global play.

They say in the interview that the only difference in DMC is th install time, then go on to say its better for PS3???

I don't know, the rockstar team behind GTA IV was pretty pissed that xbox360 has no harddrive standard
and that they were going PS3 exclusive after GTAIV

Its xbox360 holding back PS3.

The ps3 version isn't even a port, the framework engine was also designed with the ps3 in mind,if it doesn't run well on ps3 don't blame the developers.

From the IGN review:It doesn't feel as though the game takes advantage of the PS3 at all.

What maked them more qualifies then anyone else?

Ive had both version of Burnout, and what they said about the intergration and interface,is a blatent lie,

Then they said COD4 uses only dedicated servers,it dosent, both version use some dedicated servers and most p2p global play.

They say in the interview that the only difference in DMC is th install time, then go on to say its better for PS3???

ukillwegrill

They are more qualified because, by and large, reviewers are paid professionals that have names and reputations on the line. You are an anonymous person on the Internet with nothing to lose by being dishonest (Not saying you are, but that you could be).

Same reason why the folks at HighDefDigest.com's opinions matter more to the masses than mine, even when I disagree with them about something. They are paid and trained to spot things that I may miss or overlook.

I think we are going to see more devs making games for the PS3 then porting them to the X360. Porting from the PS3 seems to be alot easier and the end result is almost identical games.7thSIN

So, yes, PS3 will start holding multiplats back. They won't be as good as they could potentially be if they have to create the game first on PS3 then port to 360. When they start with360, the 360'sversion is always superior. PS3 is such a flop and its ridiculous to read all the excuses and hype from fanboys and media - simply because they WANT Sonys console to win. There arent really many good reason to own a PS3 besides it being a cheap blu ray player...

I think it does, that is why DMC4 does not look as 3D as LP enemies, and as huge, with smaller levels and more blocky stuff around, and vastly less enemies, effects around too

I hope RE5 is made with 360 in mind, and not get watered down vastly to make it run as good on PS3

Seems you need to learn the difference between bad development and watered down, because it is clear as of now, you have no clue whate either word means.

Allow me to re-butt.

The PS3 will not hold multiplats back. The devs just have a harder time going from the 360 to PS3 in terms of architecture, so if they start on PS3 and then port it to 360, both versions will be fine. Simple fix. Its not that the 360 is more powerful than the PS3 (Its not) but that the 360's architecture is more dev friendly and closer to PC architecture.

Sony's console is one heck of a beautiful machine. It is powerful, well made, and has many multimedia features and freedoms lacking in the 360.

And there are plenty of reasons to own a PS3. Blu-Ray, the exclusives already out, and the killer exclusives coming this year and next are major reasons that true gamers should at least want to get a PS3, even if there are reasons that they don't.

no, the fact is LP on 360 sucked and this game is exactly the same(graphically andg gameplay) with no extra features.

Oh wait...its saolin....

RazMaTaz-1

It didn't suck. It was an average shooter, that got an average score 78% overall. It sold over a million copies, so it was liked by many. Lair sucked.

I agree. Everybody loves to blame Sony for inferior PS3 multiplats, yet, when it was clear 3 years ago that the PS3 was going to be arhitectually different developers still stuubornly made 360 the lead platform. Making PS3 the lead platform is the obvious way to get better results out of both 360 and PS3 versions and this is a decison only the developers can make, not Sony. There's also no reason that it should take 3 years for developers to figure this out.
