...would you believe I got the "bad" ending? :P

Seriously, loved the game and everything about it, and as a Pole it's somewhat of a national pride for me. I couldn't finish it sooner because of university, work, projects, whatever. But I've had some free time and decided to smash through it. And damn, what an experience. I doubt I'm ever, ever going to get the same feeling from any video game for a long, long time.

I've got an older save file I made not too shortly before hand, so I'm going to replay and get a better ending, and then do New Game+. I should be done in about three years or so. :P

It's the ending. : where Ciri doesn’t come back from the Tower and Geralt has to hunt down the remaining crone and avenge her. You don't know if he survives after or not

Talk about being bleak.

I'm on my second play-through.

Don't know what the endings are, just know the ending I got on my first play through:

Ciri joins Geralt on his journey as a Witcher. I know I helped kill Radovid so the Empire ended up taking over the continent, except for Skellige which is under control of Cerys.

Or something like that, it's been a while

Yeah, that's the better ending - the one I did not get.

I burned out on Fallout after 120 hours. I was in the middle of the big fog island dlc. that game just has so much fucking content and such a dense world.

I stopped playing because I romanced the wrong lady :P

I'll have to restart or resume it some time. Because I hear the DLC is pretty good. Maybe before the NS comes out.

120h is still a lot. i did 396h in it and only stopped playing because i installed so much shit in that game that it started to run like crap. I was actually thinking of keeping my save but uninstalling the game with all the mods and then do a clean install with important mods. Maybe will do later this year, still have a ton of places to explore n shit.

I didn't even finish FO4. Just didn't have the time, not with a game that huge.

I haven't completed yet.

I feel ashamed to be playing 6 hours straight. I get too immersed with the story and even the side quests. Skyrim sort of ruined it for me.

I got to the detective part, got him and stopped the main quest completely. Never beaten the game and haven't even done many side quests (they're all crap anyways). Simply exploring was great on Survival.

Yeah, I can't play that long either. ADHD and all that jazz. But I did manage to sink quite a few into TW3 today...

But it was definitely an engrossing experience for the most part.

I'm actually going back and getting a better ending - thank god I've got plenty of saves. I can't let that be my canon ending, you see. :P

Yeah I got the "bad" ending too... and I didn't create a separate save either. But luckily it's such an epic game that I'll play it again one day.

I deliberately do not spoil the endings for myself, even if it means getting a bad one by accident. It ruins the experience for me. I'd rather cop it and replay it.

I got to the point where I needed to talk to some people (to prepare for an impending attack) before I got bored with TW3. Did 173 hours. So, it's not the game's fault. I was simply not into 3rd-person games. I kept forcing myself to go on.

I stored away the save games before uninstalling TW3 just in case I suddenly get the urge to finish it.

I'm like you though. I find FO4 a much more interesting game.

The key to not getting a bad ending is not treating Ciri like a child who cant take care of herself, if by the end of the game she is confident of her abilities and had the chance to make her own decisions independently from Geralt then it helps with a better ending as she has less doubt in herself and her abilities, if you defend her too much or smother her too much it doesn't work out well, treat her like the arse kicking Elder Blood that she is and all (mostly) works out fine.

ah kicker TC. throughout the series i had a rule that i would stick by my decisions good or bad. in all 3 games i got OK endings. not the most ideal (though sometimes its just a case of which flavour crap you want :P) but ok.

3 fantastic games. cant wait for cyberpunk 2077.

Yeah, figured as much. Re-doing ending to fix that.

I still haven't got around to playing it beyond the first 10 minutes. Installed a bunch of mods thinking maybe I'd play it but then it wouldn't run so gave up and uninstalled it. Luckily I got it really cheap so no big loss.

I went back today and replayed the last few missions and got the proper ending. It feels "earned" this time and worked for me, so I consider it my canon ending and I'm happy with it, so I'm all good now. :)

I seriously cant comprehend how some people got over 100 hours on TW3 and didnt even complete the main game... I did all the sidequests/contracts and the main story in less than 80h. And I didnt even rush through it... The only things I didnt do were the treasure hunting and the nests burning (I dont bother with filler)

It is a a great game.. TW3 and Bloodborne are the only 2 games ive actually played through multiple times this gen.. Have you played the DLC yet OP? if not, you def should when you get time. They are both better than the main game storywise imo.. Heart of Stone is incredible

Blood and Wine was amazing. The characters were incredibly rich and detailed, both having real human characteristics compared to the one dimensional characters we usually see in video games. I'll admit, I shed a few tears at the end. Also, the voice actors were phenomenal.

I also got the bad ending. I had never played any previous Witcher titles before, and I think to get the better endings you need to understand a little bit more the characters and some of their backgrounds. Or maybe it was just me. Overall very much enjoyed the game, but the ending was slightly perplexing to me at the time.

I finished the game at the hardest difficulty playable on first attempt in a month. Used to play for 7 hours a day even. Helped me get over my breakup. One of the best things I ever experienced.

(I got the good ending btw)

@killered3: Spec to alchemy+heavy attack, use heavy armor, dmg on stamina spent, heal on stamina spent and heal on dmg done -> you can beat the game on the hardest difficulty by spamming one button, dont need to dodge anything either.

This is, of course, after going through the work of earning everything and probably having to dodge. :P
