Ages of ownage-Pc through years(56k)

This is a thread to rub it in to console gamers,with how better PC gaming was and is compared to the consoles!

Its really dumb that console only gamers are talking smack about PC like its dooomed ,has no games,comments like i like playing from the cauch more, there is an infinite number of controlers avabile for the Pc consolites including the ones from Ps3,Wii,x360,and the most annoying the price issue,in reality PCs are the best buys of electronics as they have so many uses in so many different fields,they are currently best multymedia hubs availible! ;)

So lets celebrate generations of gaming under PC dominance,and annoy some people at the same time muahahahahahahahhahahahah :twisted:

ill start with 1995 when i started using my PC for gaming and a little game called Duke Nukem 3d(shareware version)which made me completely forget about SNES

Then cam a game that was just so addicting it coused me to miss ****s and ****s LoL

If ur up to it people contine with me on this trip down memory lane and maybe we even educate some of the SW population :)

People preffer consoles over Pc's and PC's over consoles for their own reasons.For some people the best gfx or games library doesnt matter as much as ease of use.PC gaming and console gaming are 2 radically different things which can not be compared easily and when people realize that system wars will be a better place

Duke Nukem was good, Warcraft II > Warcraft.

like when the n64, dreamcast, ps2/xbox/gamecube, ps3&360 were released

No not just graphics overall quality of games and their growth and evolution through gens as PCs are the best showcase for that

Why do PC gamers need to comfort themselves that PC gaming isn't dying? It isn't and probably never will! I got my 1st gaming PC ever a few weeks ago and there is no way it will die now! :P

This kind of topic are like self-pitty and in this case it isn't needed.

If your comparing those pics Killzone 2 does look better...:oops: I don't think those 20+ yr old games had "teh cell"

Duke3D is also what got me into PC gaming, but these are what made me stay.

Sure the PC has had some amazing games, plenty of them to be honest. Plenty of absolutely amazing games and has been pushing the video game industry forward for years, but the momentum has dropped rapidly this generation and looking at what games that sells or the "highest ranked PC games" there are few to no surprise games at all.Gamingcucumber

Give them a compliment--- then take it away! Formulaic, contradictive and a horrible spin.

Get over yourself, online gaming is what is pushing the console industry now and it took over 8 years to really get anywhere close to what the gaming world is like on PCs.

Actually that same game you mentioned was ported to the saturn, using a re-worked powerslave engine, and actually had better lighting (using real dynamic light points). Sprites weren't quite as detailed due to memory though, but you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
