The game begins with Anderson coming to investigate the murders in Bright Falls with her veteran fellow agent Alex Casey. After certain events have transpired, fans can play Wake and Anderson’s respective stories in any order they choose. Their journeys echo and foreshadow each other, in this intense atmospheric story, taking players on two separate dark and disturbing paths. We are excited to allow players to decide how to experience the story of Alan Wake 2.

Now thats a good news because I want my Alan wake to be play as Alan and not some other character.

The game does look good though, regardless of any agendas. It's just not what I was hoping for with an Alan Wake sequel. It is similar to Raiden being forced upon us in MGS2 or Agent Locke in Halo 5 Guardians.

Completely disappointing trailer. No Barry shown. Woke new lead, should be Alan Wake for all of it. Graphics are last gen.

I don't like playing with multiple characters, so that's not a plus.

Sadly, you are forced to play as both if you want to play the entire game. Remedy fail.

Alan Wake is probably one of the most boring characters played in a game.

Never shuts up, suppose to empathize with his plight, but watching him and his Team America puppet wife interact is like two planks of wood emoting.

But yeah, it is a strategically designed character catering to the political and social climate of today. It is no coincidence that we are seeing games like Forwoken, Alan Woke 2, The Gunk, Tchia, etc. featuring black female protagonists all coming out around the same time. The woke trend is real. It would not surprise me if they make her a lesbian as well to pander to the LBGT community.

Alan Wake is my favorite horror action adventure of all times. It's automatically a buy for me.

I am simply calling out the wokeness.

Its funny, i watch the trailer for the first time during the show, and what i am paying the most attention to is their engine/graphics, atmosphere, art style and gunplay. Its only when i watched a couple of vods of people i follow on youtube/twitch that i even noticed that people are already bitching about a minority being included in the cast.

I am 100% against the woke shit, but when a character of color or gender is added in a game, and (from the look of it) its perfectly fitting (not like there's no black woman fbi agents), how the **** is this woke?

Most people's woke detector is completely fucked up, and poorly callibrated.

How many black female protagonists are there in the history of video games? Very few. All of the sudden they are popping up left and right in the last few years. This is a direct result of woke agendas. I am not against their inclusion in games, but I also see what is really going on. I have no issue calling it out as I don't give a fuk about being politically correct.

Sounds pretty interesting to me. Really enjoyed the first game and what they showed off in this trailer looked quite good. Looking forward to playing this sequel.

I have Alan Woke 2 pre-ordered. Went with the deluxe version.

Are you for real? We are constantly bombarded by woke propaganda and other bullshit these days. So many SJWs. Also, if the stereotypical white character was the norm, they weren't exactly pushing an agenda now were they? That is just the way it was. Diversity is good for variety sake, but when companies are trying too hard and following woke trends, it gets silly and insulting. The woke trend is becoming the new lens flare in games.

I'm really tempted and the price is right, but say, after Gollum I'm bummed out.

I'm only gonna buy games after waiting for reviews, I don't really care for the preorder bonuses either. But I will be there day one.

I love Remedy, but this seems a bit overcomplicated to me 🤷‍♂️. Would have prefered a more straight forward Alan Wake story. The one thing I don't like so much about Remedy is that they rely so much on really long text logs to explain the premises of their universes.

I felt I understood like 20 % of what was going on in Control. I fear Alan Wake 2 will be the same/worse.

I was kinda hoping the other character would be Jessie Faden. Oh well. Maybe she will show up toward the end.

Oh Control was definitely the weakest of the bunch. Look at how many fun and creative levels there are in Max payne 1&2, and then compare to Control which is just set in the same building throughout.

The game likes throwing so many words and concepts at you but I fear it didn't make for a better game.
