Alan Wake - Based on E3 footage, what hype level is this game now? AA or AAA?

it seems like alan wake will be a memorable and exciting experience for the interesting premise and story telling, but a very unspectacular game. To be fair, survival horror tends to be unspectacular, so maybe, 8.0-ish? The music and sound is great, but the actual events aren't scary or suspenseful really from the trailer shown.

I think you are missing the premise of it. It's more stephen kingish. It's more just cool than scary. So should uncharted not get a 9+ because it isn't scary? I don't think that is what they are aiming for. I think it will be a well done game. It's taken forever. It better be. And beides we saw a small part of the game. I'm sure there will be some scary parts. It's more a mystery/psychological game with horror mixed in. Its more story driven.

Alan Wake isn't a horror game. It's a psychological thriller more akin to The Secret Window.

I loved the footage they showed of it. It was spot on imo.. I just wish it would come out. There is no reason why it should be taking this long. Maybe they just dont want to release it at the same time as some of the other big hitters.

IDK, if that's all there is to gameplay, I'm disappointed. He's a writer, yet with agility he dive rolls and shoots with pin point accuracy it seems. I mean it looked good, but I'll go 8-8.5 tops. Hoping there is more to this games mechanics and challenge.cainetao11

Looks like a solid AA game. I need to see some more gameplay though.

I think Alan Wake will be one of the biggest disappointments this generation... right there with Haze and Assassins Creed RM84x

Probably AAA, the game looks good and fun
